Hi All

Earlier today I opened a stealth ebay account and paypal account and started listing straight away. Specifically:

A Meerkat toy £19.99
Womans top auction 99p
Womans clothing item £49.99

About 15 mins I couldn't understand why I couldn't find them on ebay search then realised they had sent me an email saying my account had been restricted and my listings removed and that I must contact ebay.

So I go straight onto ebay chat, played dumb (not difficult lol) and flirted with the guy a bit.

10 mins later account fully restored lol

This is not uncommon now a days.....Very common and pretty easy to get an account unrestricted, just gotta be cool, calm, and have all the info on hand.

That is why it is recommended to build your cookies for a few weeks, then list only one item. Low value and unbranded.

In these situations ebay sometimes asks for ID and receipts for the items.

Many moons ago they asked me to send in a picture of myself holding the item with my username and date written clearly on a piece of paper. I bet they had a great laugh in the office over that one.
