Need to open up a new bank account. Which is best bank if you only had 1 choice?
 

Need to open up a new bank account which is best UK bank to open with f you only had 1 choice? From experience or from experiences from other members. My main worry is about the mismatching of names of my PayPal and bank.

Any main bank apart from Lloyds works well

Personally I like Halifax and HSBC

Most uk banks work perfectly fine except from lloyds. They tend to not like mismatch names.

Co-op Halifax or Cashplus work great.

Hi, I used barclays mismatching names with no problems.

Dont intend to hijack this thread but was just wondering what people use for barclays. I would really need help from someone who is currently with barclays as my main barclays is blacklisted so now id need to make a sub account within. SHould I make an everyday saver. Please reply or leave a pm

Yes an everyday saver works fine with Barclays :)
Just wait at least 24 hours after creating it before adding it to paypal.

HSBC is a nice one...personally I don't like Halifax but lets not get into that debate.

Natwest is also good

i went in to an hsbc branch the other day and they have become very strict . Personally, I wouldnt use them I believe they are in the middle of big policy changes according to the branch manager

I like the co-op as I have had an account with them the longest.

Most banks are fine and I wouldn't say any are better than the others. It's just a personal preference based on ease of access, history with the bank, customer service etc

Halifax and Tesco bank didn't like mismatched names 4 me

Barclays doesn't do mismatched names anymore. Just had a deposit returned, although it wasn't from Paypal.

if the bank spots mismatched names will this cause big issues for paypal?
can you lose a paypal from this?

Groundhog day.

Nothing wrong with Halifax, they have always been superb for me. As long as you use the accounts properly and don't raise fraud alert flags by using underage minors accounts for ebay and paypal like some here have everything should be fine. :lol:

Step 1: Link a known bank that allows alias names. You can find information about this in your Stealth Guide and here on the forum.
Step 2: Withdraw funds from PP to bank account.
Step 3: Strip Club.

Seriously though, Just don't attach an unknown bank. You won't have to worry about PP getting suspicious. Solve the problem before you create one.
