This a good idea?

Hey guys,

I was thinking about expanding my Ebay accounts and having more than two which i currently have.
I was thinking of buying a couple of cheap iphones to use totally reset them and place ebay accounts on them; one account per phone.
I wanted to set up maybe three more ebay accounts using this method.
What do you all think to that would it be ok to do or would you suggest do it on pc and make separate windows accounts?

All help and guidance appreciated

You can do it that way but it sounds like overkill and very expensive.
Doing it on separate user accounts will accomplish the exact same thing so why waste time and money doing it the more complicated way?

I have friends who own mobile phone shops so it is really easy for me to get a cheap iphone 4 (decent camera). I would much prefer to do it this way so i can track everything separately and keep one product to one phone just wanted to ask you guys advice:faint:

Sounds like a good workable idea for you YEbaY as long as the iphone4's are in good useable condition, we have two iphone4's and they don't last forever, but like you say in your position where you can buy them cheaply so can get one for each new account you might as well take advantage of the situation and set yourself up with a few more good accounts.

I prefer to use a computer and separate user accounts. Less room for error.

You also dont know if 'used' phones have already been used with the ebay app etc..

This is 100% accurate, the last thing the OP is going to want is logging into ebay with the app that might had been used before.

F.Y.I, Reinstalling the App does not work, Ebay logs as much information from the phone as it can.

I assume if he buys a used phone he would do a hard reset on it before starting work with it. So having been used before wont really be an issue.

This might be redundant for you op stay away from the ebay app if you are using stealth accounts from different geo locations. The app has permissions to grab that kind of info at will and could make it easier for them to link them all up.

What if these el cheapos have the ebay app already installed from a banned user who needed to pawn them to go on living?

:faint:

Re: This a good idea?

I operate all my stealths from mobile devices.
I have recently acquired a laptop but that is somewhat over my head at the moment. The usuage of phones works for me and ive sufferred no problems as yet.
I also manage to multiply accounts to one phone too but you need to.be vigilant at all times. Check your ips, use an exif eraser, use different web browsers if multiplying.
As just smile pointed out, this method can be costly. Laptops I agree may well be easier, cheaper and safer but im managing with multiple phones presently :)

IMEI number, phone model etc.. will always be the same and no hard reset will fix this..

But this would be the ONLY possible link to the original owner of the iPhone. Nothing else would link the new user to the older one. eBay would have to consider the reselling market of phones and how one phone may have multiple owners.

Just putting in my thoughts

Agreed, this can be changed, but not with just a phone.

this setup may work but like dark said the App can pull your phones geo location thus linking your accounts if your selling the same thing.

Try to connect phones with different area codes and that should do the trick.

seems to costly for me.
ill stick to my laptop.
