Recently reinstated listings are now at the bottom of "Best Match"

First time poster but long time seller. I recently got back into selling on eBay recently but ran into some issues because I was not familiar with the new rules. I received quite a few violations since last October and was hit with a 1 year suspension back around mid March. I ended up getting a reinstatement the following day of my one year suspension but every single listing I have is now at the bottom of the best match search. I know for a fact that this has to do with my recent suspension but how long am I in the dog house for? Also, with the reinstatement, they are now holding my funds for 90 days until I can prove shipment.

Some facts:

1. Very old account (Pre 2000)
2. Vero hit in OCT from a trademark infringement
3. 2nd Vero hit from a copyright holder for a picture
3. Trademark violation (non Vero) - 7 day suspension (JAN)
4. 2nd Trademark violation (non Vero)) - 30 day suspension (FEB)
5. Vero violation which resulted in a 1 year suspension - Got this warning removed proving this item was a real item.

You're screwed. This account is finished. It'll take years for the bad karma to wear off, if ever.

Create another account and stop messing with whatever this stuff is, or it's just going to happen again.

With all those violations they will make your listings almost invisible. Best to just make other accounts

If you are selling commodity type items, you may be able to get some action out of the account by being the lowest price - although I HATE THAT as a business strategy.

I agree with the others, I don't think that it is worth the trouble to rehabilitate this account because you are not starting from square one - you are even further back than that. They will be watching the account closely because of your past issues and if ANYTHING else goes wrong, you can expect the account to be closed.

Still, if you CAN rehabilitate the account, a pre-2000 account is nothing to sneeze at. Maybe you can find a way to make it work. I wouldn't want to rely on the account for an income, however.

Thanks for the replies. I called customer support today and was transferred to an account suspension department and told him of my case. He claimed that after my 90 probation is lifted, there's a good chance that my account can rise up again depending on successful sales from now and past the 90 days.

1. Is this rep just another drone giving me false info?
2. If I managed to get Top Rated Seller, would this even matter for my search standing in this current status? To clarify, would TRS possibly rank me back up if I had TRS and I was past this 90 day probation?

Re: Recently reinstated listings are now at the bottom of "Best Match"

Critical point: depending on sales between now and 90 days.

And you can be sure you're not only taking a hit on best match, but in every search option. You can't maintain sales if nobody sees you.

TRS gives a slight boost in search, but this is like an anchor dragging you down.

Worse is that the further you fall towards the bottom, the more scammers smell blood in the water and start to move in for the kill. They sense that you're already in trouble and can't fight back.

Let it rest. Open other accounts and let this one rest for a year or so, then try again with a different product. Once they flag you, it never really goes away.

And for goodness sake change your product line. Anything that has the slightest hint of Vero is gonna get you stomped.
