USPS Claim with stealth account

I need to file a USPS claim with my stealth account. I am not sure how to do this because obviously the stealth account is not me, but if I file the claim with my personal USPS account would that be OK? Or I could go the extra mile and create an account for this alias that I have on the stealth account...uggg what a mess!

I am not sure what to do? Has anyone had this issue before. The item that I sold was $70 so I really would rather not take the loss on it.

How did you send it exactly?
Did you have insurance on the item?
Did you have to fill up any forms with any name given?
What is your concern exactly with regards to opening this claim with your real name? I don't believe ebay can see that - they do not have access to USPS info.

I need to file the claim with USPS, it was priority mail so it is automatically insured. My concerns are with opening a claim with USPS and the paypal reciept of payment/etc is not in my name. Proof of transaction is in the stealth name. Would they still honor it on my USPS account?

I don't see why not.
Just say its a business and another one of the employees was the one sent the payment.
The item was paid for. It was insured. I don't see why they would have an issue.

Get the forms to file from USPS and see what they need from you and go from there.

It may not matter it's stealth.

If I remember correctly they want the receipt for your purchase of the item, a bill of sale, and the Priority Mail receipt. They paid my claim within a week, and it was around $900.

Wow you are lucky, I filed a claim about 2 years ago for $2400 and it took 4 months to get the check in the mail. Not joking, 4 months and 1 week.

I didnt have a problem in filing a claim with a stealth account. I made a copy of the ebay listing. I gave me the paperwork to fill out, took copies of my copy of the ebay listing and thats it.

In my experience with the USPS, if you are filing a claim because the item is lost somewhere in their system, then they pay right away. If you are filing a claim because the item is damaged, then it can take a LOT LONGER!

I guess some people use the insurance to try to scam the USPS on damage claims.

And as far as UPS goes, FORGET IT if it is a damage claim! Unless you happen to have a video showing the UPS driver throwing the package over a wall, you will LOSE the claim. They will tell you that the item was not properly packaged, or that it was damaged before it was sent, or find some other excuse not to pay. Maybe if you are Amazon or Kohl's it is a different story, but if you are an individual or a small business you don't have a chance in hell of UPS paying for any damages.

I never successful filed a UPS claim either. They never pay.

So looks like most of you guys had no luck ehh...well I just filed it today and ill see what happens I had to refund the buyer for the broken item that was damaged during shipping.

USPS doesnt care. I just did a claim on a stealth. I put me as payee and my address. Then where it was shipped, cost, and cost of shipping.

I had to upload one image of ebay auction order page.

Surprisingly they paid out more than I requested. I guess they didnt understand it was a free ship auction.

They also refunded you for what YOU paid USPS to ship.
