Busted! what should I tell the buyer??
 

Ok so I finally got new ebay and paypal acct going, thinking im preety smart, I just listed a bunch of books to get some feedback up and theyve been selling :)

about a week ago a lady bought one and I havent reveived payment, then I get this msg in me ebay inbox

"I went into Westpac bank to put money into your account, but the teller informs that the name I have isn't the same as the one you gave me. So thought I'd best straighten it out before I put money into some random's account".

Can you let me know if the following details are correct please!

she then lists my bank acct with ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ebay name (bank acct has been setup with my real name of course). netbank transfers work ok with false name as ive done this a few times with this acct, but I guess when they go into the bank to transfer those details are checked!!

its just an $8 book but I have no idea how to explain this now and am worried she will report to me ebay, or even worse, the bank checks things out!

what should I do???

sheeesh ... tell her you are running the account from a family member's name or something.

Or thats the employee who handles incoming transfers.

i'd go with this one as well. Sounds more believable and professional for some reason lol..

Or you can say that you were selling the item on consignment for someone else and the payment is going to your client.

I have never heard of a bank doing this but I would agree with jvc.

Employees incorporate a bigger company, professional as well ;)
