Buying an account? 5 listings limit?
 

Hi guys,

I'm a first-time Ebay suspended seller, so going stealth is new to me. (Yes, I've bought and read the Stealth ebook. :-))

2 questions:

1) I've noticed many accounts for sale here. What are the benefits of buying one, versus just creating one myself? What kind of work does it save me, and what do I still need to do myself (besides, obviously, running it)?

2) I've created a new Ebay account a few days ago. I only have a limit of 5 listings. (!) How long does it take to get more? Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

Hi, one of the major benefits is getting higher limits on purchased accounts for example instead of 5/500 can get a 100/$5000 account etc

It varies just list to the max each month and it'll increase within 1-3 months sometimes sooner

Welcome to the forums.

Once you understand stealth, buying an account is easier than creating one but costs more - have to operate it well.

As for limit increase...no set time...gradually it should increase with good customer service and feedback

Creating a stealth account is very simple. As long as you don't screw up and get yourself linked, maintaining it is simple as well.

The only real advantage to purchasing an account is that you know it was made correctly (i.e. the seller didn't link it to other accounts) and that it has already been verified and received increased selling limits.

You can either wait for an automatic increase, call eBay (and risk account suspension) to get them increased manually, create multiple accounts and max out all selling limits to sell your stock, or purchase an account.

The real question is:

How impatient are you and how much money do you want to throw at the problem?

If you were selling 500 items per month and making a living on eBay, it's worth the investment to purchase an account. If you're just some kid who sold his knick knacks and comic books, and has a day job, just be patient and save your money.
