Default Need to start selling (clothing) high risk products but why wait? Waited 3 weeks.

Have bought an account a little over a month ago and started building cookies on for 3 weeks. Wanted to ideally start selling tomorrow Wednesday. But was told to wait since its high risk items.

Was wondering why I should wait and also what are the benefits compared to doing it couple of months down the line?

Also would like to add that the account i purchased has feedback and 7 sellers feedback.

Can I not list tomorrow and what are the disadvantages of selling tomorrow?

Will be clothes and intention was to put as bid for tomorrow for 10 days.

Branded clothing is always risky. Do what you need to do and report back with your experience.

When you purchased the account, did you discuss anything with your seller?

Majority here would tell you to wait and be aware of the issues of selling high risk.

Recommend NOT to make that as your first sale either - regardless of time passed

When you dont feel a noose around your neck.

When you have been comfortable operating your stealth account and are handling it OK.

Does your business plan allow for a suspension notice from ebay?

The purpose of the forum is to allow users make AND run stealth accounts.

If a new user has never run a stealth account before, do you truly think they should not ask these pertinent questions?

And of course, with the frequency you chunder out this info you do think that.

How should they learn anything rsot? Certainly not from one of your gems.

Run stealth accounts selling risky branded items?

Listen, there are a lot of posts that deal with this and not every question is "pertinent" as you say.

Don't need the judgement on this one - make your comment and move on, as I have as well.

Best of luck OP.

Sell one pair, and you will see, was the wait long enough

My main aim is to get rid of the clothes which are mainly hoodies and jackets thats my main aim.

If i get suspended whilst doing it I will learn from my mistakes and do another one. If it goes smoothly carry on and at the same time try get some more accounts and run some simultaneously and spread.

But I will need to take my first move soon. Since this is old stock.

If you plan to sell a limited amount of them, it shouldn't be an issue.

What's is the rush celit?, why can you not wait the length of time you have been advised to wait?, so you want to sell branded clothes, don't be in such a hurry, we have all been there and got the tee shirt for rushing to sell goods too quickly. The forum members advising you too wait are absolutely right of course. Simply rushing in and ending up with a suspended banned account leaves you with nothing and the hassle of setting up new accounts including new bank accounts is a real pain, so listen to what you have been told.

From experience its not about the amount of tie you but rather about the selling history of the account. The fact you wait a couple of months still doesnt show ebay youre a reliable seller. Selling LOW RISK items will show them that.
Instead of waiting id go to the local dollar store and spend a few dollars on buying 'knick knacks' I can sell off without getting into trouble and at the same time establish myself as a seller with more feedback and more history so that when you do sell the higher risk items youll be introducing them as a part of a mix oif items youre selling - thus attracting less attention.

I agree with Slokor, if you can get some products to sell to get your seller rating up a little higher it will be better..

If you don't mind losing the account then go ahead and try it I guess, all depends how much time and money you can afford to lose.

Can you afford to buy/create a 2nd account, and then try listing on one now, and the other you could start building up slowly, then at least you will be trying both methods.

Good luck!

I might be wrong...and hope I am but it seems like the OP wants to "Turn and Burn" the ebay/Paypal Account with his merchandise.

And EB's bots are watching and ready and hungry to 'turn and burn' this guy's account.

Selling hoodies and jackets NOW is pointless anyway.

You have to buy winter clothing in the spring clearance and hold it until fall to get decent value. First cold snap people gobble stuff up.

Did it for years, know whereof I speak.

I prefer to learn from other people's mistakes, it's cheaper than making my own.

And everyone's saying it's a mistake.

I got suspended from my previous account because 2 people claimed that the items was ⊗⊗⊗⊗. Which was the only reason that was given and that was the only negative i received.

If this time I try not receive any negative feedback and add item numbers which can be searched on the internet will that give me a better chance to sell on the account.

Bdw i am not trying to get this account closed and don't understand the reason of waiting because its branded products. What i think many of you are suggesting is that my account will be suspended for selling branded clothing even without any complaints from customers or other members. If that is the reason ebay will close you down even with 100% feedback then i understand.

At the moment your account may not take scrutiny from ebay because of the items listed.

What we're all saying ( I believe ) is you should have a substantial account history of positive, successful sales before you start to list frequently counterfeited branded items, and even then you should be careful and not do too many, and even then you face a higher risk of problems.

That was true in both the last thread and this one.
