Default What are the limits you are getting on New accounts created?

As of last week all my accounts are getting only 5/500 limits and a few 10/1000

Right now ebay is not asking for any verification but they are not giving out higher limit accounts to me.

Is anyone having the same sequence?

5/500 and 10/1000 is pretty standard. Lots of conversation going on about alternative ways to get higher limits in other threads

Please don't let this thread descend into bickering...

Did you do anything different on the 100/1000 account? What was the method that got that limit?

Did you amend anything during account creation?

What does that have to do with the current topic?

I call on accounts that get low limits, i.e. 0/0, 5/500, 10/1000, etc.

If you get an account that BEGINS with decent limits, i.e. 100/15,000, calling isn't necessary.

My advice regarding phone calls is for a very particular, albeit very common, scenario. I made that perfectly clear within the multitude of posts that were written on the subject.

Whenever money is involved...it is a problem for forming some kind of "family" atmosphere.

if I was GOA I would call on a 100/5000 account asking for higher limits.

I always do everything the same. Usually get 5/500, 10/1000... Except... I got a 100/5000 recently.

Had a batch of buyer accounts that were 8 months old, I'd overlooked them for a while, when I learned the free monthly listings were being reduced, I started to make a bunch of new accounts, and went back to these old ones.

I added ccard to PP, made a listing, ran into some sort of snag with the phone number, none of the verification texts were coming through, it took a week or two to get back to it.

In the meantime they kept sending me emails, "Complete your listing".

When I called back I verified the phone number, listing went active, and my limit was 100/5000.

I truly do think the slower you go, the better the result. The newest ones that are about 21-30 days old are all getting 5/500 or 10/1000 limit.

The batch of 8 month old is consistently getting higher limits.

Good info!

The only advantage I can see to letting accounts "sit" that long is letting them be on autopilot....but if you listed to the max chances are you'd increase the limits anyway.

Still, not a bad theory to test....set up a bunch of buyer accounts and check them 6+ months later. Have to give it a shot.
