Ebay App for Iphone
 

When making a stealth ebay/paypal account, can i still use the ebay app for my iphone to check messages and what not? or will ebay track my iphone to my home ip (which is banned).. or should i take it off wi-fi connection (go on LTE) whenever i need to check a message?

I strongly recommend against using the eBay/PayPal app via your smartphone. Even if you reinstall the app or your device, it's locked on to your phone's ID which you can't change easily. It's best to use the mobile browser instead.

ok, i have an account that is banned from selling but i still buy stuff on that one. if i have the app linked to the banned account, and use the mobile browser for my stealth account, there shouldnt be a way to link them both together even if im using the same phone correct?

Well, your IP address can link you but other then that everything else is separated.

Never use an EB or PP app on a phone that used it before. AND never used EB or PP app on a phone that uses your home wifi.

You could be safe using your lte service.

but simple answer is just to not use those apps altogether. Not worth losing the account when you can simply check at home later on.

so if i reset my old ipod to factory setting and create a brand new apple id, eb app should be ok strictly for 1 stealth account, correct?

If you used the ebay app before on a suspended account with that Ipod...and do a factory reset....your still going to get linked to the banned account.

can you use the ebay app if your ebay account is fine? i only have problems with paypal.

Yes....but if you use the app later on a different account, you will cause a link.

Instead of the app you could try to use different user accounts on the iPad plus web browsers.

This Year....it will be asked another 110 times in different variations.....why? because people can't be bothered with the search function. People use Google, Yahoo daily but for some reason they are scared of Aspkin Search :noidea: go figure!

Proven factory reset does not make the iphone safe to use again.

Make sure you read posts by MM78 who did a lot of helpful reasearch on this issue.

Aside from the IP from identifying your phone, you also have to worry about the IMEI which is a unique number for every phone. Apps collect your IMEI and that will link you.
