How does the eBay/PayPal change affect us?
 

Hi Guys,

With the new changes coming to eBay and PayPal which I know NOTHING about the ins and outs of... does this:

1. Benefit us? - Allow us to make brand new accounts on eBay with information that would have been in PayPals hands leading us to start on a brand new leaf.

2. Destroy us? - Leave us in the dark having to figure out what the hell is going on and to brainstorm our way out of this.

3. Remain the EXACT same? - Which I doubt...

Please do share some knowledge on what you know!!!:uk:

Does not look like it will have any impact on us. At least not in the short run.

That's it Aamir, it is a wait and see what happens, as has been said probably nothing going to happen to us, or at least nothing that will make any real changes to what we are doing.

This has be stressed out they keep asking me to confirm crap for paypal which I think I have before. Redbulltime... I guess. It seem there in a big hurry for people to submit their information in-regards to paypal whether it be EIN, Tax ID or SSN. What a pain in the ass, mine is not stealth but don't want to be linked. So contemplating me next move any suggestions, questions, comments ?

I know this was/is on a lot of people's mind's and it's not going away so best to take care of it sooner the better. Will Probably be researching the hell out of this crap all day and barely got any sleep not looking forward to it

:lol: No I meant to say Still Contemplating. I'm running on 3 hours of sleep right now so not feeling up to the task of reading through all this bull**** given the topic of this thread it's becoming a headache when your in a routine and they seem to interrupt the flow of things with new accounts that are doing well I understand they want to have a " safe environment", but est. 21 day holds then releasing the money within 4 days. Plus the sale event/markdown manager with their priority's can be a pain in the ass. If anyone's a Paypal expert shoot me a p.m. need some advice in-regards to this change but rather not post openly. Any help would be appreciated from US Sellers as I don't know how the other countries are automated.

From what I understand the split of the two entities has mainly to do with financial reasons. I remember reading an article about it, and it had something to do with stock prices, and they don't want one company doing bad, like eBay, effecting the other, PayPal. This being said, I don't see any major changes coming right away, but knowing eBay I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

I heard the same. With Apple Pay coming around and the like..investors don't want the most popular electronic payment system in the world hamstrung by being managed by an auction site. Split off and come into it's own.. Hopefully a good change.

So i haven't created a new paypal account yet getting new bank account etc..for my stealth account (which I haven't created yet either). Is it worthwhile to wait a bit before going through the ordeal, or it would pretty much be the same- paypal tracking IP address and name info to new stealth ebay account? Thanks!

nothing has changed and most likely will not as far as stealth goes.

Why are you using a real bank account now? a VBA is a lot safer and when you know the account is doing well add your bank account details.
