Possible method for upping limits on stealth account. Strange name theory
 

If ebay can't verify your information through dmv because the name you have matches no one. Will they up limits by just asking your business practices?. What do you think?. Thanks.

No, most of the time they will ask you to send in documents to raise limits.

There is a member on here (who I'm sure will post to this thread) who advocates calling. This is not recommended practice as it can get your account banned.

I agree I prefer not to call eBay or even ask for a limit increase. Its best to just build accounts through best practices. AKA selling low risk items, getting good feedback, shipping on time. Basically common sense. In due time and it is a process you will build and account that eBay's algorithms deem trustworthy.

ebay do not use DMV records. Dont spread tales.

It depends on the rep you get.

All members who have posted are correct.

Sometimes you will get requested for documents. (There are ways around this).

Sometimes you will simply get asked about your business practices. (Where are you getting your inventory? How quickly do you ship, etc?)

Sometimes you will get an increase on the condition you send in documents before you get any future increases (had this happen today during a call....got an increase to 50 items per month on the condition I email a front/back copy of my DL). Again, there are ways around this..... :thumb:
