Hi everyone!

Just thought I would ask for some advice on Google search.

Ebay are really banging the drum on this at the moment, as Google demoted EBay in their search and Ebay are going to really push us to use their Product Catologue and MPN etc etc.

I am puzzled as I do not use their catalogue, although maybe I should?

When searching in Google I cannot find my items, yet I can find competitors.

Is this because they have used EBay's catalogue?

Confused, any help would be appreciated.

The more info Google can index, the better your search ranking.

What is your account standing and your policy compliance? What is the health of your listings?

I can often find my auctions on Google hours after I list them. Same with other venues I browse that allow Google to index their sites.

internet marketers use ebay (amazon more so) as a 'parasite'. Might be that if you're selling something popular. Ebay is obviously a authority site to google so if you send 1000s of spammy links at it you can move it up in the search results whereas if you did that to your own little site they'd deindex you
