Chrome is bad for stealth

I didn't know Chrome was still leaking my real IP address even though I was using VPN.

should not be browser dependent...
specify your setup and way to connect.

Are you sure it isn't the VPN that's causing you problems?

Chrome is not an issue for stealth

Maybe worth looking at your method

Well, I found out that my IPv6 was leaking and all of the sites for the past few months could of been seeing it. I was scared as heck, but nothing has happened so far. =)

Your real IP can easily leak with WebRTC these days, you check on Whoer.net - find out IP address: lite version if it's leaking.

I would recommend using Firefox and Disable WebRTC plugin. (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/a...disable-webrtc).

WebRTC will not reveal your "real" IP. It will only allow the internal IP behind routers to be seen (for example, 192.168.1.100). This is absolutely useless for tracking.

Is ISP DNS IP leakage something to worry about stealth?

Are you using a different user account on Windows when using the VPN?

Umm, it can reveal your real IP. Get some low anonymity proxy, then go to whoer.net and there is a good chance that it will show your home IP.

Use Chrome and go to ipleak.net it will show that your real IP is getting leaked.

You shouldnt' be using those awful "anonymous proxy" in the first place anyways. Your real IP can be leaked by those in a lot of other ways than WebRTC.

I have tried to connect to my own VPN server I've set up, and WebRTC isnt' able to detect my real IP at all.

Tons of software available that you can run alongside a VPN if your worried about DNS leaking, VPNCheck is a good one

Re: Chrome is bad for stealth

if you saw your VPN on top of the search results of Google, chances are IPs have been overused and recycled, bad for stealth.

Re: Chrome is bad for stealth

VPN and VPS are fine, but you need to ensure you use the right one.

A lot will have been abused and will have their IP range known to EB and PP

Re: Chrome is bad for stealth

Browser should have no impact. Maybe the VPN you are using or the way your VPN is set up is causing you problems. Because I use every single browser and they all work fine.
