I have an old EBAy acc without PAYPAL.Will the "split" mean i can use this acc again?
 

Hey all

So i have an old ebay acc with an amount of £546 owing on it but the original Paypal linked to it had some issues and i jacked it off and i never paid the bill to ebay. If i pay the bill and set up new PP, will they link the 2? I'm tempted to give it a try as i was able to sell 12k a month or something on it with 2500 items a month. I'm hoping that the split of the companies will go in my favour regarding this... what are your thoughts??

Nothing will really change and all the same procedures will still be in place for both companies. The split is more for accounting purposes than anything. Don't expect any major changes.

Everyone is thinking too much into this ebay/paypal split. Paypal will STILL operate how paypal operates now....ebay will STILL operate the way ebay operates now. The only thing that is changing is the way the two companies will share information and the buyer protection and holds on funds. Thats it. Move along.

Nothing will change, at least in the beginning. As for how the split will affect eBay and PayPal long term, nobody knows. At least nobody HERE. I'm sure the top management at PayPal are discussing all sorts of ideas.

Imagine everything being the same for now. and all stealth rules still apply. So in short, no that plan will not work.

They would be crazy to make drastic changes in the short term right after the spilt.

Over time I'm sure each company will grow apart otherwise why spilt up in the first place? It will just take time.

How much time is the question..
