Never.. Ever Ever... Ever EVER click Marked As Shipped Anymore... Thats One of My New Personal Rules..

WHY? Cuz I Just Lost $570.00 on a stealth that was doing GR8.. I only click Marked as shipped Bcuz of Memorial day Holiday ( Venting right now ) slowing down the shipping process and the time i get paid UGH:doh:

and you know some knowledge just kicked in when i got the "your account has been limited email" .. havent seen that in a while!.. but my mentor always said Dont make Over $500 on a stealth and Always Provide a Tracking Number :doh:

My Own Costly Mistake.. Hope it doesnt happen to you LOL!!! OH WELL at least i didnt loose my products as well!!!

Ive never had an issue with clicking on 'marked as shipped'... I doubt that's the reason for a limitation.

Yeah marked as ship shouldn't have any impact on you getting limited.

did you use the same ip as another account?

In your limited email what is the reason for your limitation?

I figured it out.. the stealth I was using had made $670.74 and Anything over 5 or $600 paypal will limit you and ask you to provide documents.. ahh just another lesson learned. i really only lost the time i worked on the stealth.. I didnt loose any products bcuz they limited it before i could send them out.. so every one will just get a refund!

Not sure how you "figured it out" but getting payments over $500-600 is OKAY on stealths?

It all depends on how you created your account, and how you matured it.

Its silly to keep blaming Paypal for the reason your limited. 9 out of 10 times its a stealth mistake on OUR end not because Paypal is out to get us.

@solefoodbk - I figured it out bcuz I recalled my actions and it had to be ip Linking. Yea true going over the limit of 500-600 wont automatically get you limited but if you make past 600 on a brand new stealth opened a 2-3 weeks ago it may get limited and Solefoodbk Im not blaming Paypal for this mishap I have other stealths and recalled what I may have done to get limited... thats how i figured it out.. God Have a sense of Humor solefoodbk

The $$$ amount is most likely not the issue either unless it is a big spike. That being said I never sell on PayPal accounts that young and I almost always try to make my first transaction on paypal more robust that I am expecting for an average single sale price.

I havent had issues with marked as shipped either - how new was the account? Was the item sold considered risky?

Marked as shipped isn't the problem as I do that 100% of the time on younger accounts / should list your account creation methods for further analysis

5-600 isnt anything...I have had transactions for 8000 go through just fine, but this is on accounts 90+ days in the making.

Marked as shipped has nothing to do with limitation.
Most likely you got spike of revenue like Yankee mentioned.

The only way mark as shipped would cause any problems is if you added a tracking number that showed that it was posted away from where you were supposed to be like London when you were in Glasgow.

Not really...I have a lot of out of state stealth accounts and nothing happens when the tracking shows it wasnt shipped from that state. A lot of people also use Amazon to drop ship and that tracking obviously shows a different state than they reside. That means nothing.

......."marked as shipped"? I can't think of a more harmless thing to do on eBay, since I've done it on every item for 2 years......if anyone out there thinks that is a cause for anything bad that happens to a paypal or eBay account...take the tin foil off the windows, throw away your metallic hat and relax......

People have inventory out of state, it's not unheard of..

You mentioned different city.
I ship from completely different country and never had a problem uploading tracking because of that

Good to know thanks but even when reviewed? If so it does make you wonder what security they do have when they overlook the simple things like that.



I mark all items as posted as ebay stop you getting a low DSR on shipping time when you mark posted same day or next day. Which still makes no sense as if you ship it within the time you stated on your listing then they should be protecting the seller but who expects common sence from ebay.
