banned: while other new sellers sell same product?
 

Ok I wanted to get your thoughts on this. Last month I made a stealth account and set up my first item to get out the door. I listed it very professionally and was banned VERY fast for selling the item. I was not linked I don't have the email anymore but the explanation was DUE to the item.

Im looking around right now and there are BRAND NEW sellers selling this same product. Im looking at there history and thats ALL they have been selling. They have a crappy description as well. Why did eBay ban me for selling this and let people without feedback (or very little) get a free pass to sell it??

I'm assuming from the way that you're describing this it Vero items correct? I also see that you stated that you said that you made a very lavish professional ad for Selling the item

I've noticed over the years been very descriptive you would think would have advantages and would bring more attention and help with your sales but sometimes it backfires because you stick out like a sore thumb specially if u are trying to sell Vero especially

But these rules do not apply if you're planning to sell legitimate or non-heavy copyrighted items.

Vero u are always on borrowed time It is all depends on how smart you are sell it! Also to answer your question maybe your competitors are little bit wiser on selling that product then you are that's why they stay underneath the radar longer then u do.

It would help if you could show or tell us what the listing removal notice said?
Your message would still be in the Ebay trash can if you delete it, and likewise in your email inbox/trash can..

This is the CLASSIC question... "Why did eBay take MY listing down, but they allow the other sellers to sell".

The bottom line is, we will never know. It happens to all of us. When it happened to me, I was VERY angry. I emailed eBay and just got boilerplate emails back from them with "eBay, in it's sole discretion, reserves the right... blah, blah, blah. And if you try to re-list it, we will close your account." When I called, they told me it was a SafeHarbor issue (nowadays it is called Trust & Safety) and they could not give me any information. When I asked to speak with someone in SafeHarbor, they told me they did not accept calls. This tells me they piss a LOT OF PEOPLE off and do not want to try to justify their actions.

All you can do is use the account to sell something else and create a new stealth account and try to sell the item again that way. Of course, you will need new descriptions, title, pictures, etc.

More recently, I have had 4 accounts selling the same item and ONE would get the eBay rules takedown and the others did not. I have no idea how they decide who to target. But trying to fight them is an exercise in futility and frustration.
