Blocked Users
 

I assumed when you blocked a user they couldn't message you. Guess I was wrong. I blocked a user who sent a rude message about how I should list items about 6 months ago. I figured before they bought anything, I'd nip it in the butt cause the message came off with attitude and possible negative feedback. Now they want to purchase but can't and sent me a message asking why. So what's the point of blocking a user if they can still see your store and your items?

Also this person clearly knows what a block is because all their negative feedback responses state they are blocking the user.

He's blocked. If he uses an alternative account to purchase from you, you can report him and any feedback he leaves will be removed.

When you edit your site preferences on your ebay account, you need to tick the box at the bottom of the list that says ' do not allow block bidders to contact me' and then you also need to tick the box that says ' for active (current) and future listings' or it will not apply to your listings you currently have on ebay.

Bs...I have all of my accounts set to "do not allow blocked buyers to contact me" and "apply to all listings" and yet they can still contact me. Always. Every account. The block feature makes it to where they cant bid or buy your items, but they can still contact you regardless of what that stupid option says.

They can contact you if they have previously bought an item from you.

I am not sure what the timeframe is before they can't contact you.

Just curious....but what are these "blocked" people contacting you about? are they talking smack?

Will ebay screw me over if I block a 0 feedback bidder and he decided to report me?

Yeah I checked my settings and I had that checked. She still is able to message me. Wants to buy one of my products but doesn't understand why she can't buy from me.

Again, he/she is blocked. If he uses an alternative account to purchase from you, you can report him and any feedback he leaves will be removed.

It's a minor inconvenience. Move on.
