Surviving the new "My eBay"

Well January 15, eBay is getting rid of the usable "My eBay" and replacing it with their horrid new one that is completely unusable. Anyone know how to deal with this?

i absolutely hate it myself.. i'll stick with the old my ebay until it gets phased out in the coming weeks

You gotta love the way that eBay "Fixes" things that are not broken.

So you guys have no idea, either.

I've found that the ebay sitemap can take over some of the features removed from the new "my ebay".

I have not heard of this and when do this supposed to happen?

It really won't be that hard to use. Will take some getting used to - but won't be a huge issue.

Seems like the Ebay forums community hates it too, so maybe Ebay will offer a "opt out" link soon?

yes im trying to work with as well but i must say its just not the same.. Did you edit the colors of the sections etc??

But I found if I log into the UK Site, I get my regular My eBay page back.

i switched to the new ebay 2 months ago and never went back because i knew what was coming - let me be one of the few or first to say i like it just cause i'm used to it already:p

I always have a shortcut in my quick launch menu to go directly to "My Ebay Selling Manager Summary". I find this is much easier to look at and browse than the regular "My Ebay Summary"

I just found this link for the regular My eBay page for the U.S.

Might not last long, but its working for now

Your link takes you to the New "My eBay" Page which everyone hates that doesn't have an Opt Out function.

The link I have posted will take you to the regular "My eBay" Page, the one everyone used before yesterdays change.

That's weird. I click on your link and get the same page as my link. I didn't see any difference. Go figure.

Are you signed in for Ebay U.S. ?

I'm getting two totally different pages with those links.

Yes I am in the USA Ebay. I opted out of the new "my ebay" awhile back when they tried to get people to use it as beta test.

When I click on both your link and mines I still get the "We're working to make My eBay easier to use. Try out the beta!" Option link to click on. So I know I am definitely using the old ebay.

It is only when I click on the "My Summary" on the top left menu is when I get the New ebay that everyone hates.

That's why I only use the "My Ebay" tab on the top right to show the old ebay.

Don't worry about it TheyGotMeToo we will all be using the New one anyways.:)

I did get a response from my complaint letter, looks like it was personally written just for me. (ya right!)

eBays stock is really tanking today, part of it could be as a result of this beta change...maybe?

The new My eBay is less customizable than before. The "unanswered questions" shows awful in red even if you answered the customer's questions (e.g. regular email or they sent 3 questions and you answered it in one ebay messages), it hides a lot of the stuff the old one shows. It also refuses to show both sale date and days since sale.

The new My eBay, search, and item view are also even higher bandwidth and server heavy. A lot of our eBay fees go to eBay's bloated, high-bandwidth site. Very little goes to paying eBay staff to help us.
