Anyone ever risked selling high risk items?

Like has anyone tried after the first month to sell high risk items and succeeded?

Re: Anyone ever risked selling high risk items?

Everything depends on how high risk the item is...also is the item phake, Highly VERO'd....Also, trying to list high risk item on a brand new account will kill the account.

Re: Anyone ever risked selling high risk items?

Can you successfully sell high-risk items? Yes. In most cases. But if you get a couple of buyers who claim your items are counterfeit, you will likely lose the account.

And, some VERO members do not want their products sold on eBay at all. Tiffany, Burberry, Apple, Warner Brothers, Beachbody, etc. ALL fall into this category.

Anything that is counterfeited in mass quantities is considered high risk - Disney DVD's, NFL Jerseys, ANY products sold through infomercials, expensive replacement razor blades, Microsoft Software, Adobe Software, Box sets of DVD's, designer purses, etc.

Anything that can be easily phaked, such as precious metals, gems, autographs, etc.

Then, there are those things you would not think of as high risk, but eBay does - costume jewelry, electronics - branded or not, or anything that has a historically high return rate.

Any of these things CAN be sold, but you must build up some trust with eBay first. And even if your items are 100% legitimate, competitors can use buyer accounts to purchase them and complain they are counterfeits. Sometimes sellers with totally legitimate items lose accounts.

But that is the beauty of stealth - there is no such thing as a lifetime ban on sellers, only on specific accounts.

Depends on the items. We been selling electronics for 3 yrs with a very high selling limit but we are register as a business on eBay and Paypal. We're Platinum Seller now and bought our ebay account from this forum.

first 20 items i sold on my first stealth account were razors from china. got good feedback and didn't have a problem. Not sure how long that would last once a competitor decided to get me shut down.

You really sold high risk items straight away on 30+ accounts?? Really without proofing what you were selling, etc? Or did you have to wait at least a month or two after you had the account?

Nah straight away, buy most from here but they're newly made. Don't want to say what I sell but often get items removed etc, never had one banned. Not fa.ke items though
