Listings taken down for review

Is it normal for ebay to take down listings on new accounts every time you make a minor change to the listing? they usually take it down, review it, and put it back up after 24 hours.

That sounds like something Amazon would do.

Can't say if it's "normal". I've never had it occur, but that certainly doesn't mean it is uncommon.

Edit: Just realized both people who replied are US, OP is UK. My bad.

Yes, that's totally normal.

Unless you get an e-mail from eb saying the listing is taken down...usually it's not really "taken down", just takes a while to show up as listing

What i meant was it disappears from listings for 24 hours, possibly for review, every time listing is edited. It then shows up again. Was just wondering if I'm the only one getting these.

When u first put a listing up it may take up to 24 hours to be visible, so if you are doing editing within the first 24 hours than the listing was probably never visible to begin with

But once it becomes visible than it stays visible , unless maybe you are doing a major edit like changing the actual item or something like that, but to fix a price, add a buy it now, or tweak a title or along them lines, if it's visible it remains visible

Yes correct.

But my point is, why after making minor edits, like reducing price by about 10% does listing disappear for 24 hours.

You can easily tell if your items on the ebay site by clicking on your items for sale. If its not there, then its not on the ebay site. Yet after 24 hours it pops back up again.

So just to clarify, it does disappear, its as a result of minor edits, im curious why?

Unless you get an email from eBay STATING it's being "reviewed" I doubt that's the case.

As others have said, eBays system is far from state-of-the-art. Their servers can be painfully slow. My best guess is it's a communication error on their server. I highly doubt they are "reviewing" your listing.

That said, you're in the UK, and all kinds of things are different between there and here, so I could be incorrect.
