I would not risk your new stealth account then.

Can you consider another IP?

If you have administrator rights on your office PC you could consider to get a VPS with a brand new fresh IP and set it up in there.

to the outside world you will have a new IP.

Re: new windows - same ip

Your IP depends on your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Usually you can get a new IP by changing your MAC. But you need to change the MAC on the device that is directly connected to your modem. If you have a router at home that is connected to a cable/dsl modem then you can usually go into the router settings and set the MAC address to be used. If your PC connects directly to the modem then it is a little more difficult to change manually (Google it) but there are some small programs that can do it for you. Restart your router or PC and hopefully you will have a new IP. MAC address uses hexadecimal so numbers and/or letters A-F.

You formatted and reinstalled windows and firefox. Your PC or router still has the same MAC address. Your ISP knows that it is the same computer and it does not issue a new IP. When you change the MAC address, the ISP thinks that it is a new computer/router on the network and issues a new IP for you. The old IP that is the same is saved for a short period of time, 24-48 hours or so depending on what settings the ISP has.

Some people will keep track of the MAC address they use for different accounts and change the MAC address to the account they are using. Example, MAC #1 goes with User #1, MAC #2 goes with User #2, MAC #3 goes with User #3. Change to MAC #1 when using your #1 user account. Change to MAC #2 when using user #2, etc.

Keep in mind that some ISPs use a static (same) IP for your account. If you change the MAC and you restart your router and you still have the same IP, try changing and restarting again. If you are still getting the same IP you could try calling the ISP and asking about getting a dynamic (changing) IP, or get a different ISP.

If none of that works for you then you will need a VPN to get a new IP.

Should look into getting a VPN/VPS if changing your ip isnt an option

Look at the bottom of the post right above yours. Go to 24vc.com and see if they can get you set up with a VPN.

Re: new windows - same ip

Or dongle and cellphone tethering as options - avoid using the office ip since 1) likely to be only 1 IP most of the time and 2) possibly other ppl have their own accounts

My answer is not clear? Do you know what a VPN or VPS is?

Sounds like you don't know enough to keep out of trouble. Follow their advice. Or...

Get a mobile hotspot, or a new internet service provider with a non-static IP, or tether your phone to provide internet.

Google is your friend, research.

Search the forums here. Lots of possible answers. Just get out there and find them.
