I am new seller - need help to find out something!
 

Hi!

I am new seller on Ebay and push all efforts to develop this business. But I have faced with financial question and could not find the answer myself.

Please help – here is explanation below:

The self-cost of the item which I have listed is 0,75 ₤ (this is a small can for honey) The price is 1,95 ₤ (as you can see preliminary margin is rather high – it is 1,95 ₤– 0,75 ₤= 1,15 ₤). The freight expanses to send the item client are 4,90 ₤.

The income transfer to my PayPay account supposed to be price of the item + cost of delivery – namely 1,95 + 4,90 = 6,85 ₤.
VAT is 20% of total income – it is 1,10 ₤
Ebay fees of total income – it is 0,54 ₤
PayPal fees of total income – it is 0,55 ₤
Considering above my real financial result supposed to be: 1,95 – 0,75 – 1,10 – 0,54 – 0,55 = -0,99 ₤

I have minus 1 ₤in spite of I had huge preliminary margin. I can not sell the items more expansive in cause of market price for the same products. But the same time I could see that the sellers with very high rating sell the same product and could not understand how that can be effective? I do not understand how to sell small items and get profit– please advice…
