Taking over friends Ebay account

Hi,

My friend is no longer going to sell on ebay and i was thinking of taking over his account because he has high selling limits etc. I will have a new ip, but i was thinking of changing the info on his ebay account and creating a new paypal. Do you guys this this is possible?

Horrible idea.

But if you are going to do it anyways like most of the other members posting thus sort of thing, Get yourself an EIN and upgrade the paypal to business and add new details.
Then if your friend wants to go get himself another paypal account he has at least has a small amount of separation although his info will forever be linked to that paypal and the new paypal will end up being linked.

I personally would keep things seperate mate. Buy an account from the market place would be a better idea if you are not comfortable making your own or havent got time

Bad idea.
Never mix friends and business. All you need is for something to go wrong with the account and your friend to want to use it again at any point in the future.
So many other things can go wrong as well - taxes for example - that make simply not worth it. Especially withy stealth being such a readily available option.

if that's the only reason then that's a horrible plan.

everything is possible but what you plan to do is like taking a shotgun and pulling the trigger to your face!

This is not Stealth, this is half-ass stealth....you won't make it with "Half-Ass" Stealth. Leave your friends account alone.

Need high limit? Buy one on the forum or start making your own.

As long as he's clear he can't ever use it again then you can go for it but you'll need to be prepared for security checks as ebay will know when you start logging in from an alternative location.

You'll need all your friends info to convince the you are him as doing what you plan to do is not approved by ebay.
But once you get past the security checks which may even require you to talk to them on the phone you can then change all the info over but don't go mad with high priced listings too soon or anything else that may attract attention.

A new paypal account is probably a better idea than using an existing one unless you don't have a current ebay account connected to an existing one.

It's some years since I did this so security might be tighter than before but as long as your friend is willing to co-operate for the first few weeks to get you past these then you should be ok.
As soon as you log in from a different location it won't take long before the account is locked requiring you to contact them in some way.

You may end up needing to buy an account but you have nothing to lose by trying. It worked for me and the account got closed eventually for reasons not connected to it belonging to someone else

You can make a new PayPal but it'll have the 21 day hold for a few transactions(depending on how established the account is).

Horrible idea OP.

@zexaah, that's not a good move - attaching a new PP to an established eB...

It still works though, doesn't even matter the name/addy on the pp it'll work good. Tested myself.

And many people report loss of the account shortly after adding a new paypal.

When purchasing an account through here, what do i do with the name on the name that is registered to the account assume that I do hit over the 20k sales. I am looking to continue a long term business and cant really manage 10 different accounts. My previous account was doing about 150k in gross sales but i screwed up and had bad dsrs and couldnt handle some of the stuff. I still sell on amazon and other merchants but I seriously want to get back onto ebay. I only have 1 stealth so far and ordered a new ISP specifically to start another new account. That is the reason why i was thinking of taking over my friends account
