Return Policy - Free Return Shipping?
 

I had a customer ask to return an item 1 day after receiving it as an "Item no longer needed" Received it today and I looked at the postage and it says "No postage necessary if mailed in the US" Am I paying for this person to return it? I haven't issued a refund yet. It's bad enough I'm 90% sure it was used.

If a buyer files for a return, there is a button "print shipping label" that is available. The label is provided by ebay as a "free return label" to the buyer. Meaning the buyer does not have to pay for return shipping. However, if I call correctly, ebay seeks reimbursement from the SELLER for the return.

Are you serious? Why should we have to pay for returns for something that they don't want anymore. I just checked the hold and it's $7.47 original price was $8.00 with free shipping.

Hmmm, strange. Check your sellers account and see if there are any additional fees or anything like that due to shipping label.

It is $7.47 because of the fee Paypal takes. The remaining 53 cents comes back from Paypal, whereas you are responsible for the $7.47

Just checked the email and it says buyer pays shipping.

But how do they get free shipping then?

I'll check my account once e Bay decides to work again.

The buyer is given an option to pay for shipping because the return is not a defect. At least from our end.

they will auto debit your bank account for the money. you can always close down your bank account and open a new one

I think before, your paypal account will be in the red and they were not able to auto debit your bank account. ebay would keep sending you emails to pay it, asking you to deposit money into your paypal account for reimbursement. you either made the transfer or sold something and ebay would snag it

Now i believe, paypal can auto debit your bank account with hitting "take" on their keyboard followed by "enter"..with 100% ease, no problems. If your bank account has a 0 balance, you'll now be in the red with the famous over draft charge of $35 or so
