How does one go about increasing their ranking in eBay searches? I know in Amazon marketplace one can use super URLs to help alter the rankings, but is there such a method for eBay?

eBay purposely hides exactly what their formula for best match is. But here is what we DO know that helps to boost your rankings:

• Offer Free Shipping
• Specify 1 day handling
• Offer a return period of 14 days or more
• Maintain Top Rated Plus Status
• Avoid negative feedbacks
• Keep your DSR's high
• Maintain competitive pricing
• Have a good, original product description

There is no "secret way" that I am aware of to boost your rankings.

I personally have never seen free shipping boost my search results.

The other big factors for me, piggy backing off what jeff said is use the brand name as the first thing listed (never use "new" or "nwt"). IMHO, I'm sure plenty members here use it haha.

The other is taking as many pictures possible. Don't be redundant just to fill the 12 slots but angles are always wise to have.
