| | | returnix | 06-21-2015 01:21 PM | Chrome Portables instead of User Accounts? Hey, I was thinking of using Chrome Portable's instead of users accounts, offcourse changing IP'S and all regular stuff.
Is it possible? Will I get linked and banned? |
| jeffweico | 06-21-2015 01:54 PM | Re: Chrome Portables instead of User Accounts? Do you mean separate Chromebooks? Or a portable version of Chrome on the same Windows user account?
Because the latter would most likely get the account linked. Not all of the information that eBay can see is based on the browser.
If you would like to see an example of what eBay can see from your system, then go to Panopticlick: https://panopticlick.eff.org/
It shos you many of the things that eBay can see. I do not know if is 100% complete, but it should give you a good idea of what information they can get.
Is there a reason that you do not want to use different user accounts?
Edited to add: Chrome is not necessarily the best browser for stealth. I much prefer Firefox. |
| dallis | 06-22-2015 09:36 PM | Re: Chrome Portables instead of User Accounts? Jeff, I just ran this thing, and OMG!
Mine came up as unique among the 5.4 million tested so far. This is bloody worrisome, the IP issues are nothing compared to this.
I haven't had any time to do any tests, but in a practical sense, if all my Firefox user accounts are differently set up with different plugins, etc, will this be harder to match, or is there an easier way to get around this? |
| jeffweico | 06-22-2015 09:40 PM | Re: Chrome Portables instead of User Accounts? Separate user accounts on Windows. That and use different browsers, or at least different plug-ins. I create many accounts, so I change up the OS's, browsers, plug-ins, etc. I don't like Chrome for stealth, although I HAVE used it. |

Panopticlick does NOT check your user ID or computer name or MAC or IP...etc
it decide if you are unique, depends on your:
Browser version
Language
Time
screen resolution
browser resolution
For Panopticlick it can gives you Unique if you will ONLY change your screen resolution or ( believe or not TIME ZONE ) |

| Futuremogul888 | 06-23-2015 04:12 PM | Re: Chrome Portables instead of User Accounts? Why is chrome portable bad for stealth? I have been using it without issue for awhile. It does not seem to leak any info beyond its folder including flash cookies. It seems to be as self-contained as a user account. If someone could explain why it is problematic I'd like to hear why. |

Portable Browsers whether it be portable chrome or Firefox can work, I use them myself, but if you had no experience using them with stealth you could link all your accounts
I use them and the first ting I do is go into global adobe flash settings and close the storage files where you would share any files, if this is not done than whatever browser that is in the user account will be sharing flash cookies in the same folder
But once that is taken care of they do work |

The only problem I have in recommending it is that the setup can be difficult if you do not know what you are doing. So, I would say that it is a good option if you have the confidence that you can properly install it, or if you have someone who can help you. |
| feadup | 06-24-2015 11:04 AM | Re: Chrome Portables instead of User Accounts? Well, if you are talking about assigning Network card , MAC, IP...etc to each machine ..then Yes.
BUT I AM STILL MISSING SOMETHING :((((((( I have no idea what is it
BUT there is leaking in my setup. I have no idea what is it, I know it is networking issue, IF you can point a way out I will be very greatfull
some questions
NAT or Bridge
if you have a youtube link to any good setup that will be great too | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:09 AM. | |
