Canadian registering on eBay.com (HELP)
 

Hi all,

I currently sell on eBay.ca, but would like to switch my account registration to eBay.com. I feel like US market is much greater than Canadian. I also understand my items will show "item location: New York, USA". I will release my packages quickly.

Are there any tips I should be aware of before switching to .com ?

You can set item location to NY (or anywhere in the world) on your Canadian account. You can also list on .com directly using your CA account and that listing will be no diffrent from those listed on the US site directly.

do you have a USA bank to attach to the usa paypal that should accompany the usa ebay?

something to think about.

otherwise, with a USA IP, you can most surely create a US account. Your problem areas will be - registered phone number, credit card, bank for verification.

after you get a US ebay squared away with a matching paypal, you can then send payments directly over to a separate CA paypal without problems, as long as you do not disturb the linkage of the US ebay and paypal

I am using normal fully legitimate ebay account. I have to create a US paypal account.

So basically youre going full stealth with a US account.
Make sure you go across the border to get a US bank account - RBC offer a US bank account that will link directly to your Canadian RBC accounts for ease of use (and they accept deposits from mismatched names so its perfect for stealth).
As for credit card - you can use the MasterCard Vanilla gift cards sold at Shoppers drugmart for $25.
Other than that its pretty much the same as operating any other stealth account. New windows user account, fresh IP address matching the country/state of the account's address etc etc.

You need the US IP to create US PP.

Absolutely YES!!!

You must also create a NEW windows user!!!

These are a MUST.

Otherwise you will end up linking you good Canadian account with the stealth account and MESS THINGS UP!!!
