new accounts not showing limits

Last month I made 6 back up accounts to have aging just in case I need them later. Stealth accounts with verified paypal etc. All six of them were approved to list the first item (had aged over a month before listing) and when I checked the dashboard, it shows nothing there where the limits usually are. What is up with that? I am not going to be foolish and call them to question it though. But what does that mean anyway? Some new thing? last year I made over a dozen accounts with various limits, only 1 has gone down out of all of them. But they all had initial limits, some higher than others. But all 6 new accounts I made still don't show anything.. I haven't tested out how many I can list with them yet. any thoughts??

I think it tells you how much you can sell after you list your first item

Sometimes it won't show you your limits.....Keep listing till it says you can't anymore.

I myself do call when I don't see those limits.
There is nothing wrong with doing that since youre not calling to ask for anything.
I always tell them the same story - "I was given to understand that there is a limit on the number of items I can list per month but as a new seller I cannot find that number anywhere on my account - would you be kind enough to tell me what my limits are?"
Usually for me those limits when they do not show up are 1000/25000. Love hearing the reps say those numbers...
Ive done this quite a few times over the last few months and never had an issue and have never been bothered by the reps Ive talked to.

Doing it right now actually for another account I opened - literally typing with one hand as Im on hold waiting for the next available rep :)
Will let you know the limits in a couple of minutes.

Good plan.. I was just worried I might get forwarded to verification department and then get a low limit to start with. I try to avoid talking to them. I had a 500 limit account that sold 200+ items the first month then got limited to 0 and had to speak to verification guy, he said the account/business grew too much in a short period of time (so got flagged), and then he lowered (or raised as he said ughh) my limit to 250 because he couldn't verify my identity. I couldn't really argue with him about though. Anyway, so now I try to grow accounts slowly each month.

That's the right way to do it. Grow it steadily over the first few months so it looks natural and fully legit.

No they don't always rsot. Have listed up to 100 items before and sold them all still with no limits showing, turned out they kicked in at around 150 items

I've had a good handful of accounts that lasted a couple years that never showed any limits. I now have 4 or 5 month old accounts that shows no limit.

The limits always show up for me aside from one account that I have. Limits never showed up but I called in and was told I had 1000/25000. At least it wasn't 5/500 :pry:
