Buying with a stealth account
 

Search function isn't working sorry.

I just bought an item with one of my stealth accounts. Obviously my real address is not connected to it. Can I message the seller my real address that has been banned without getting linked? I tried to give the seller my email but eBay blocks you from typing your email.

Its possible yes, but there is always a risk when doing so.

Not possible to rent a local mail box and have items delivered there?

Ok, don't want to risk this account because it's one of my main ones.

I haven't got around to getting a PO box yet. Can I give him my banned phone number without a link? Or is this just too risky. Luckily this seller is about 45 minutes from me so I might be able to arrange a pickup.

I want to just give him my real address but I do not want to send it through eBay messaging.

I would go ahead and get a fresh number and then give him that :)

Be careful though that not all sellers will accept payment via PayPal and then collection (if that is how you wanted to pay)

Good idea, I'll make a google voice number real quick and see if he will be willing to call/text me.

I don't mind paying via Paypal at all. I just figured he could save around $10 on shipping costs if he dropped it off himself to my mailbox, or we met in person. Were all looking to save money right? Hopefully this guy is cool.

Like James suggested: Quit being cheap and just rent a PO Box.

They run about 12 bucks a month (you have to buy 3 months at a time). Cheap as dirt. Get packages in any name you want (so long as you add them to the list when you sign up) It's really a great deal.

Quit half-assing stealth. Do it right so you don't have to do it over.

Also, very important, not all buyers allow you to purchase items and have them sent to PO Boxes. So heads up there because its very common.

Recently purchased a pair of Ray Bans on EB and tried to send it to my PO and gave me an error saying something about the seller not accepting PO Boxes. Luckily, the physical address I had linked to the account was somewhere I could access easily.

What I usually do is I ask for my customers to text me. Write out the number and not the actual number. Also for the email through ebay message. Use this format abc123 (yahoo) or abc123 (gmail).... he should be able to get that.

Yeah except that's shady as hell and also against eBay policy....

You all want to blow money on monthly phone bills but are too cheap to rent a PO Box. Amazing.
