I received this error message from eBay when trying to leave feedback:

You must be a member of eBay for more than five (5) days to leave Feedback for any user.

The use of an alias account for any purpose regarding Feedback is strictly prohibited. Thank you for your cooperation.
I understand the first part because my account is less than 5 days old. But the second part causes a bit concern for me. Is it a standard message or is eBay is seeing something suspicious in my account?

Why is the second part concerning? If you aren't trying to leave feedback for yourself on another account then you have no problems.

Most of all eBay messages are a generic automated message they get sent out to thousands of people with the same scenario! I don't think it was a personal message that a eBay rep personally wrote out to you.

I agree with sln531. This is a standard warning message, it was not speaking of your account personally. But don't mess with the feedback system, it simply is not worth it if you get caught.

I am able to leave feedback today. Phew! I have been on eBay for 15 years but this is the first time I use stealth. I feel like I am a complete stranger on eBay.
