Fed With eBay!!! I have been kicked out!!!Need to get back
 

I have been restricted from selling on eBay.

Been a long time member on eBay since 2005. That counts for nothing and regardless how loyal you were to eBay, they would kick you out.

Silver Powerseller.I have 98.9% feedback. DSR 4.9 4.9 4.8 5.0
Defect rate is 4.06% my global went down by freaking 5.2%
Been Below Standard on Global for only since 20 June, projected is above standard on next evaluation.

Buyers can punishing, they leave good feedback only to destroy DSR.
I do not blame the buyer's. This system is in place due to eBay.
DSR ratings is like a survey to buyers. The buyer's have no idea how these work and innocently thinking they just rating.

I have been restricted from eBay selling. I have been told I can appeal. I have done that, heard nothing back.
Customers service in Dublin can be hit and miss.

I depend on eBay for income. Having to pursue full time eBay after I had to drop out from studying law due to some personal matter.
I was going great, never touched a Vero, selling all non risky items from UK.


Just because in the month of April and May when I lost my family members due to a tragic event, I had couple of delayed delivery.
When I say delayed, maybe a day or 2. It's not the cases that cause the problems.
I had emailed the buyer's. Majority, well most of them understood.
But these flipping defects. Left right and centre. Defect on this, defect on that. It's like a death sentence.

It is the defects. Positive feedbacks and low dsr.

The account had unlimited selling limits.
I sold so many low price items to bring boost my defects and DSR.
It worked. I have been below standard ever, but the global standards just slightly tipped over 5%

I am fed up eBay defect system. And now my family who stay with are looking at the same thing. They are private sellers, bet thier account would go down.

Is there any hope in this appeal?
I feel so lost, not only I am going through a difficult time in life, but to have your account taken away from you like this.

Why is eBay doing this????

Pretty sure you already answered your own question.

Defects.

Can't blame them either. No idea your selling history or how good you are or what. Yes it sucks BUT it is how their system works now.

You can't expect to have a account that has a future with that high of a defect rate, you just can't.

If you want to have success on eBay your defect HAS TO BE UNDER CONTROL.

In the future what you need to do when your account is reaching 3% is buy a lot of cheap items to gain feedback. Its tough because you need ALOT of feedback for every negative and or return etc etc BUT its what you gotta do.

Defects is a big no no, gets a lot of people kicked in the ass. Open new account, follow stealth rules and practice these simple steps to avoid high defect rate.

- Put 3 day handling in case you need extra time to ship. Always ship within 24 hours though.

- Put economy shipping in listing but actually ship with standard to surprise the buyer.

- Do not lie about the desc of product

3 days is pretty long for s&h.

If you want success on eBay you NEED to ship fast. At LEAST 2 days, IF your experiencing issues. Not saying you have to but I'd highly suggest it.

Not really. I do fine with 3 days and with testing and all, 3 days usually gets the same buyer amount then 2 days. Also, I once had a problem with buyer but because I extended the handling time to 3 days instead of 2, the buyer's feedback was removed because it wasn't past estimated delivery time. (Life saver since I was only a day short! :lol:)

If your already having customer service issues with a defect like OP has then having 3 day S&H is not a good thing to promote.

To each is own.

If you're due to go above standard at the next evaluation then you may have a chance.

In the meantime, pick yourself up a copy of the stealth guide. Learn how to make unlimited accounts so thos need never happen again.

the most effective method is to have a lot of stealth ebay accounts versus 1 powerseller ebay account.

i have embraced ebays bias system and realize the only way to survive in the long run is to have a lot of stealth accounts.

ebay competitors might buy your stuff and just want to screw up your business.

ignorant buyers etc....

having many stealth accounts is like a form of invincibility for a ebay seller. complaints don't mean much you lose one account you sell on the other 30 plus you have and make more.

When the account was in the 3% I sold so many cheap items.
I lost money, but that's the defect system.

A buyer opened a case. This buyer bought 9 items from me. Since the item was low price this was sent normal delivery.
The buyer left 9 negative feedback. That's 9 defects.
The customer service removed it, the man was understanding and can see the buyer only opened one case and didn't for others.
At time customer services to help on defects. He removed the negative but couldn't remove the defects.

Have been reading about stealth.
That's the future but nothing beats like having your own account.
I sell £1000 to £2000 a week.

My Amazon account has been successfully appealed and it reinstated. Very professionally handled. Sent a appeal at 5pm, reinstated at 9.15pm

I have sent a appeal with eBay.
Customer services at eBay, spoked to higher department. I was told to send a appeal and put in much details has you can. Said that you can be in for a good chance. But that's eBay every CS say a different thing.
She even agreed that it was odd that I was restricted like this, I should have been given a grace period.
The department who handles the appeals are only reached through email.
Tell the reason behind your defects for April and May.
What I would do correct it. To look at my dashboard and check the progress I made within 3 weeks.
Yes in 3 weeks, my Global was 5.25% but projected 4.04% on 20th July. And with March defects and had 5 defects successfully removed with appeal.
That's mean something.


I was not given a grace period or a warning. I read many places that eBay gives you a warning to improve your perfomamce.

I would have stealth.
But really want to save this account.

Looks like all of you's have been in the same position.
It is disgusting.
