Not received item case opened 65 days +
 

Hi,
today i1 buyer opened case for item NOT received.
Its 65 days +
I assumed its valid only for 45 days to be honest.
Case was opened at EB
Am i just unlucky or buyers start getting LIFE TIME guarantees now ?..

I'm almost certain they have a 90 day guarantee

Ebay? Not for US, at least I don't think?

If it shows delivered who cares what they do? Just provide proof it was and case closed.

Buyers have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to open a case.

I have had this happen before, it looks like a case, except they don't have the possibility of escalating it to customer services after 7 days. You just need to sit tight for 30 days until it times out.

Why haver they left it so long to tell you they haven't received their item?

Hmm, did some research I guess it is 45 days...

BUT, thats for returning an item. This is for not ever receiving it (at least they claim). Hopefully you have a tracking number. If not, just refund them or send another product if you have another one.

In the US, a buyer can file for a chargeback any time within 6 months from the date of sale.

However, solefoodbk is on the right track here. If tracking shows it was delivered, you SHOULD, in most cases, be covered under Seller Protection. The BIG exceptions to that would be if you shipped to a different address, or if the item was above (I think it is currently $175???) and did not get signature confirmation.

If the item was a low value item, I would just replace it or refund the buyer to keep them happy to avoid a negative feedback.

Keep in mind, the chargeback period of 6 months applies in the USA, I don't know if it is the same in the UK or not.

I had similar case opened 60-70 days after the sale and when I checked the tracking, the customer was right and when we exchanged couple of messages I found out that he has this sort of delay all the time, as he lives in Brazil.
I remember I sold the item on 8th of August and he finally received it in January- Not even kidding. He was happy and said that it's perfectly normal that they have something "stuck" in a depo for months and months.

Thats a one off case tho, just thought I'd share the story.
