5 real accounts Reinstated. Is eBay going soft!!
 

Most of my family members were suspended way back in 2005 to 2007.
This was before I knew about these forums and was not aware of IP, cookies etc etc.

Thought all these accounts were toasted and threw out all details linked with this.

I only remember 2 users I'D, emails etc etc have all been thrown out.
I signed in and to find out one account had a balance of 1p
Paid it and now my account is reinstated with unlimited limits.

Second account, same thing. Paid the balance and once more the account is reinstated and without selling limits.

Third and fourth and fifth, same thing. The balance of these accounts were all under £4.00

Now, kicking myself becuase I had so many other accounts and I can't remeber the used IDS.
I vaguely remember some but can't recall full details.

These are all real details

While chatting to eBay, they have told me that they can't see PayPal details anymore.

This is good news. I do think things are changing with eBay and PayPal.

Now, where can I get some info about my other accounts.
My dad's, brother and sister.

This is like jackpot.

It WOULD make sense that while eBay and PayPal have an information sharing agreement in place that expires in 5 years, eBay employees would no longer have a direct link to PayPal's systems. This could be a VERY GOOD thing!

This isn't new but trying to reinstate a PayPal account is nearly impossible. I made so many attempts and gave up for now. Hopefully the separation will change things down the road.

Exactly.

They no longer are the same company so by standard practices that would be VERY bad for them to share information still.

Obviously doesn't mean they won't but seems like a couple threads and members reported that eBay can't see PayPal and vice versa. It makes total sense to me.

And yes this should be hopefully the start of GOOD news for us stealthers. Now hopefully if a eBay gets limited there should be 0 possibility that the PayPal will unless you broke both polices. Huge news.

Now we just eBay to promote different merchant accounts, that'd be amazing!!!

Perhaps. The cynic might say that this makes new account suspensions harder to overturn, where-as before, one could argue "My PayPal is fully verified."

As always, the good comes with the bad.

They were all linked to my original account.

The original account was reinstated in March and my PayPal.

These were all petty suspensions.
What I noticed is that, was told this was suspended indefinitely.
But all seems to be reinstated.

Is eBay getting desperate.

Has for PayPal, I would do it one by one. No negative balance in these.

The annoying thing is.
I had 3 eBay accounts linked to one PayPal. I can't remeber the details.
eBay won't tell me. If i manage to get these all then the accounts have no selling limits and this surely can be very flexible with the defects counting.

For my PayPal accounts.
The closed 2 down since did not have any information.
PayPal told since these are old, these would be closed down and you can set up new one.

They did ask why use it after all these years.
"Told them you can only have one PayPal account, can't open another one without sorting the issues with open up"

All closed and opened on new details.

I do somehow think, at times it all depends on what type of suspended account you have.
Over time you can reinstate it.

Found my notebook with all info.

Bless my the storage facility, a big task of digging deap inside paperwork.

Forgot how much information I had.

Would report back with more information and what accounts got reinstated.

Congratulations but have you actually tried to list anything on any of the reinstated accounts?

Hopefully they do get soft, and bring back the power to sellers to leave negs for those scrub buyers

I would probably wait a little bit. Maybe it's eb's way of trying to link you with your old accounts, looking for a sucker

Ithey will be banned when you try to attach to a new PayPal.
