Customs Seizure
 

So, of all things to finally come up, I had a shipment of 20 electronic devices seized. How many of you guys have had US Customs seizures before? Did it have any ill effects? Should I ship to a different address?

I have and had them cleared and another time I lost thousands on return shipping because I was not previously paying duty.

What is the reason for seizure? Foo foo or invoice rest etc..?

I really dont know what targeted the main suspicion. The officer just said because it was from a high counterfeit area. I've had this same item shipped many times with no problems.

If you just allow it to go into forfeiture after the 30 days, does anything else happen?

When you say paying duty, what do you mean by that?

They seem highly legit. I have no found a counterfeit of this item, yet on the market. The item is originally produced in Mexico. But sold out of China. It is a possibility they could be.

Ok, so the answer is "Most likely" it's phake. You have to be 100% sure the item is legit.

I'm about 95 percent positive that the US based company will call counterfeit. I really dont think there is any chance of saving the package.

vettefever17 im curious to know what US Customs port did you have your customs seizure in?

Was the package EMS or DHL ?

Also how big was each electronic item? Can you give me the dimensions?

You should know without a shadow of doubt the authenticity of what your selling, or don't sell it.

the 50 odd ralph lauren/lacoste/hugo boss polo shirts in my wardrobe look legit too but they're definitely not as u can't get them for 10$ lol. Item produced in mexico and sold out of china, just lol.

I honestly dont know how they duplicate these to perfection. I've seen other very good replicas, but these take the cake.

DHL, cinncy. Probably 40 pounds and a 3x6x3 box. The typical orange tape box you see sealed from that area.

NoNos? I've had these delivered multiple times just fine as well. Haven't bought/sold them in a few months tho

if they are no-no, then the china ones are f ake....
if they are a different brand, eg emjoi or other, then poss that they are ok.

I have done my research and sell this kinda stuff...
