Cell phone # ???

I have verizon wireless as my cell phone. The last phone # I had with verizon wireless was banned on ebay. Can I have verizon change my cell number and not get caught?

Can ebay track me if I change my cell phone # but use the same carrier (verizon wireless) Can ebay find out whos name the cell phone is under or any other info?
