Stopping Gmail from showing Ebay pictures on Android
 

Hi guys,

I'm hopefully getting to grips with my first stealth account, but one thing that's bugging me.

My Gmail app on both my Android phone and tablet refuses to ask me to show pictures with eBay emails, it just automatically shows them even though emails from other senders it asks me every time.

I've checked my Gmail settings numerous times and it is set in the app to ask to show pictures, so why the hel are ebay's automatically showing? It's really frustrating as I can't just read an email without changing my IP all the time.

Thanks, but I said in my original post I have already done this. With every other sender it asks me to show images because I have this option selected, but with eBay it just shows them without asking. This is what I can't understand.

first thing is gmail does not leak data back to email senders and second thing is the android email client steps differ based on what app you are using for email and third thing is most of the time you have usually by accident allowed images from a certain sender to automatically show. to undo this google the steps based on the app you are using via android

I did wonder if it's because I've previously allowed images for that sender but I thought I had others too, maybe not! I wonder how to reset that in Gmail for Android....

Clear search history or picture approvals
On the General settings page, clear data by touching menu and choosing an option:

Clear search history
Touch to remove the history of the words you’ve searched for previously in Gmail for all accounts.
Clear picture approvals
If you had previously chosen “Always show pictures from this sender” or “Show pictures,” touching this option will clear those approvals and restore the default setting to not show pictures automatically.

I hadn't realised that there were the 3 menu dots in the top right when in Gmail settings, and it was there I could clear picture approvals.
