Account Limit Increase
 

So,

I got a nice surprise e-mail today from eBay stating my account limits have been increased:

You can sell up to 87,500 items or up to $875,000.00 per month, whichever comes first.

I feel like they accidentally added too many zeros.

Does the account have an EIN attached?
Are you selling and listing close to those old limits?

The account does have an EIN.

The only time I sold close to those limits was back in April. May was exceptionally slower. June it was restricted/suspended. I got it lifted. And last month getting the account back up, I barely sold $10,000 all month.

I was selling up to the limits 2 months in a row, thought would have to call in in order to get limit increase. Other accs got limits increased 10x without sales reaching even 20% of their limits.

I don't get it, but I'll take it! Sometimes when I have called on a new account, the representative asked me what I wanted my limits to be.

Sometimes I get representatives tell me I have to wait 30 days. Depends on who you get, though I prefer not calling and letting it happen.

Something like this happened to me in the past couple days with 2 separate accounts. My first account was bumped from a 1900/25000 to 19000/125000 (which left me absolutely delighted), then a few days later I had a second account bumped from 270/13500 to 2700/67500. The 2nd account is what I call my "high risk" account, and I never expected a limit increase on it.

Both accounts have an EIN and both are top rated. Both accounts are also no more than 4-5 months old. I no longer have any complaints about the way eBay runs their enterprise :)

I'm in the same boat as OP. Afraid to create a bunch of new listings because I don't want to draw attention..

I got increases on nearly all my accounts in the past few days. Interesting!

Something do to with the eB/PP split maybe? I've never had increases like this especially on 2 accounts in 1 week. Seems like they are really handing out the extra 0's!

I think the the EIN makes a big difference although I had double increases on most of my small accounts this week as well that had no tax info.
