Get Old ebay account back?
 

Good Afternoon Everyone,

now that ebay and Paypal have separated, is it possible to get an old account back that is in my name that was restricted indefinitely?

also all the DSR ratings have fell off and i have 450 positive feedback on the account. Its been 2 years now since ive even logged in.

Ebay or paypal?

If it is paypal, only way to know is to caall in.

If it is ebay:
Two ways of k nowing.
1.) Hit "sell" and see what happens.
If that goes to your dashboard and it shows below standard then option two is
2.) Help and contact, select contact ebay, select suspensions and restrictions and see what the options are.
IF you get the call in link, you can try that.
If it forwards you to an email link, very good chances you can get the account back. You will have to write a detailed series of steps of what has changed since your last communication.

ebay, and my real Paypal account is restricted and cannot be appealed, so i am not sure what payment method i would be able to use, my real paypal was linked to this ebay account.

well i have had accounts reopened after this period of time.

it all depends on why you were closed to start with?

my selling dashboard says "Your seller dashboard won't be updated after Aug 20, 2014, because you were restricted from selling on eBay"

Perhaps I don't see it....but why would Ebay/PP all of the sudden look deep inside their heart(s) and say, "Gosh...We were so wrong, we really should re-instate everyone's accounts and hope these sellers can forgive us for our sins" but maybe I'm wrong.

I had a big account reinstated this week :)

That weird email thing I mentioned above after almost two years worked.

It feels like its been 2 years, after you reinstated your 2 year account, did you add a stealth Paypal?

This is funny yet so true.

Mine says final but I can still can email. Do I really want to though? Honestly no IMO I can do wonders with the knowledge provided here. Though...it would be nice to have your original account back though.

I have a similar problem my account got limited because Ebay wants receipts/invoice of my products that I sold. Problem is that I don't have any of that..

I got this email from Ebay 08/01/2014 and I haven't provided them with any info or signed in on the account.

Any suggestions how to get it back?

If it's not worth your time to email, it's not worth anything at all. Forget the account and move on.

Personally though, if you cared enough to ask, I'd say it's worth an email.

Anyone try to get accounts back from way back in day? Like 05 to 10?

One of my original accounts was suspended an re-instated over half a dozen times, until it finally was NARU'd....tried to get it re-instated several times but it never worked out....it was originally started in '08.

But to answer your question, no, haven't tried recently.

Most everyone will say this does not work.
I do not have any extensive experience with this. Some say it does but those might be only for short term.

My guess is got Limited and never followed through with customer service. Will permanently terminate an account, especially if it was a temporary limitation.
