| | | | | Welbs | 08-05-2015 07:22 AM | interesting phone convo with paypal just got off phone with the enemy aka paypal i cannot believe what some twonk has just told me but it all adds up since ebay/paypal split...
since the split ive had 4 yes 4 pp accss limited, gone, end of, see ya. for selling non risk items on ebay which i have been doing for last 2 yrs - the ebay accs were in great standing and no probs with either pp or ebay....until they split!!!
so basically i called and asked whats going on(the pp accs banned were not linked) limited with the old violation under our user agreement policy blah blah blahhhh
so i said to this buffoon who had real joy in my pain, what gives why is my acclimited he simply sed with a real happy tone '' since the ebay paypal split we dont need ebay like ebay needs us hence we have brought into play new policys regarding items we dont feel comfortable with,,this started me on a rant to him which he wasnt even half listening to lol - he cut me off and abruptly said '' yes you are correct its not just your account that has been limited we've limited 100s since the split that probaly wud'nt have been limited before the split but due to us being seperated from ebay and simply dont want to associate ourselves with the items involved - so i said but these are non risk low price items '' doesnt matter if there high risk or low risk '' we simply have new policys on many items we dont want to do business with???????after that i just put the friggin' phone down
i know theres been quite alot of pp accs limited in last few weeks from the message board threads - any body else had a conversation like this with pp and if they keep doing this to ebayers accs and ebay not suspended these accs then ebay are going to lose alot of money by paypal just limiting accs left right and centre - any thoughts as my heads on fire lol |

| xxrange | 08-05-2015 07:34 AM | Re: interesting phone convo with paypal Call him back and get his name and use it to make a stealth account |
| Welbs | 08-05-2015 07:45 AM | Re: interesting phone convo with paypal haha xxrange lol - the items were cables, phone chargers, phone cases, pin badges, just low stuff i dont sell clothes as thats a dead horse - i really think long term paypal are gunna kill off ebay unless ebay gets its ass in gear and gets an alternative payment method as now i have 4 ebay accs that i cant use due to paypal - i imagine this is happening to 100s of ebayers - utter wank!!! |
| Haidukken | 08-05-2015 08:32 AM | Re: interesting phone convo with paypal Don't take this personally, but I don't believe any of what I've just read. I know that lately there have been some cases of accounts going down, so I just think you've perhaps put two and two together and come up with a bit of fearmongering thread that has very little proof or substance in general.
The least you could do is put together a decent post with readable sentances and perhaps actually talk about your personal product and numbers, if you really want to warn people or share something "groundbreaking".
All I'm saying is that if you look after your eBay accounts with same care as you take when you form posts, then I'm not surprised you have problems with limitations. Don't take this personally, just an observation |
| muzzie | 08-05-2015 08:34 AM | Re: interesting phone convo with paypal If you were selling something that is for Aplye, it is common nowadays to get banned, as Aplye accessories are very likely to be counterfeited, so if they see a huge account that sells accessories for Aplye at a very low price and in huge quantities - they will ban it.
P.S. You should treat your accounts very carefully. A sixth sense is a must. |

| easy.bake.oven | 08-05-2015 10:54 AM | Re: interesting phone convo with paypal Maybe coz u were selling cheap 3rd party phone items.
If I was running a quality business, I wouldn't want to be associated with people selling cheap tat.
Just my personal views XxX |
| Welbs | 08-05-2015 11:34 AM | Re: interesting phone convo with paypal powerseller 100 percent fb - good quality items so the customers say
just what the feedback said xXx |
| joesshooze | 08-05-2015 11:41 AM | Re: interesting phone convo with paypal Other than his unfortunate racism Welbs has something there. I lost 2 stealth PP accounts last week that were almost exactly a year old. There was no viable reason other than what Welbs described. For us to think there would be no negative "fallout" over the split. |

Re: interesting phone convo with paypal Why people doesn't use other alternatives to PayPal, for example merchant accounts, Skrill, Propay, all this approved with ebay. I lost 10 PayPal accounts after they split, so I am moving to merchant. |
