A question for ebay store owners
 

I have thousands of hard drives that I was able to got on the cheap and I want to sell them really fast.

I want to do 1 day auctions on most of them but that $1-1 day auction listing price is really going to cut into profits. I never had have a ebay store, I have looked until it in the past just never singed up for one.

My question is--Does the free 120 monthly listings that people get with have a ebay store also include 1 day auctions.

If it does I will sign up for one today.

I have a store, and I think each listing can count toward your free listings as far as the INSERTION FEE is concerned, but eBay is billing the $1 charge as a FEATURE, not as a listing fee. So I doubt that getting a store will make the $1 charge go away.

1 and 3 Day auctions are not free in any way. No work around at all in any way to date.

crap, Well thanks guys/girls/cat(s).

And I thought ebay wanted to get back into the auctions game. That $1 charge sure cuts into profits big time. Guess I'll go 5 days.

I suggest selling them as a big lot, there are guys over EB that sell old crap in pallets, like "50 rack servers" or "200 tested hdds".

Depending on how many bids you get if you have multiples of items. Second chance offers can be a great way of getting multiple sales.

I dont like selling things in lots, I get less per item. I do the 2nd chance offers.

Well, that all depends on a variety of things.

Example: Run 1000 auctions a month and you have $1000 additional in fees

not a big deal..if you're selling 1000 items at a time you can factor in the fee's into the price.

True but it still takes out 12K straight off of the NET annually compared to last year.

To factor into fees on an AUCTION you would have to increase shipping fee. No other way.
Depending on the item this can and does effect DRS ratings. Long story short, it now is more costly to move volumes on ebay auctions.

With these large amounts of items, yea, I would say around 15% margin after all fees.
The shipping cost from Taiwan was more than I thought.
