All ebay payments are being hold now?
I've had this particular account for 11 years with a feedback score of 56. About 30 of them were from selling items. I sold a phone now and the payment is being held. I called and she said all payments are being held due to the ebay money back guarantee? Is this happening to anyone else? |

They can "recommend" a payment to be held but off that "recommendation" will be accepted by Paypal 10/10 if you don't call in to ask whats up.
It makes 0 difference if your account is 1 year old or 11 years its all about the recent activity. If you sold a iPhone your going to get a hold....
I have an account grossing 2K monthly and about 30 sales each month and I still have gotten holds on particular items I sold. It was BY EBAY but Paypal is the one that holds it. Just like eBay doesn't "hold" the funds when were under the probation period but they are the reason why funds are held.
I no longer get holds selling those same products but with little history like you have at least this year is why. |

Recommending to PayPal yes and most people selling I phones can get a payment held until the goods arrive and feedback left |

They stop holding only when they see that you are stable with your sales, no issues, no major changes in volume and quantity. If something changes a lot (a sudden high-risk item such as iphone), they will use hold. |

If you dont sell for a long period of time, you will likely get payment holds return.
Add tracking to the ebay order and the 21 day holds will get reduced. |

| It is,but I sold on another account that had no sales in 2 years and there was a hold, but because I didn't sell 25 items. I was at 23. I sold two more and all funds were immediately available. The thing I do not understand, is the rep told me, all funds will be on hold on all accounts. |

Every account is different unless you sold exactly everything you sold on this one, which is doubtful. What one rep says means nothing imho.
I've had arguments with reps and it never goes anywhere but when you have alot of accounts, this is when you see how contradictory their responses can be. I can't be like you know I do have another account that had this happen a month ago, and .....well your WRONG. :mad2:
Can't do it.
You must accept every account does get different treatment and it has EVERYTHING to do with what you sell, how quickly, who too...theres so much that goes into how they factor this stuff. |

| Oh no the world is burning down. Duh payments are on hold it doesn't matter how many feedback you have it is a high risk item and to be honest 30 selling feedback is nothing. List your item, describe it accurately, send it to buyer by appropriate means and you will get your money. Nothing shyster about that. |

| No, lets get it real. Hold's are in place to protect the integrity of the site.
Anyone with basically no selling history and 30 feedback isn't much can come on sell a bunch of high priced items take the money and run.
As a PayPal user I despise SHYSTERS like this ruining the service for the rest of us. I 100% understand why the holds are in place. If you are legit then send the item appropriately and collect the funds.
It is very simple. |

| Yes once again paypal OR ebay can put holds on anything they want whenever they want.
If you out of the blue list a high risk item that you never have listed before, or when listing in a new category, you can expect holds.
Just because we graduate out of EBAYS system doesn't mean they can't place holds on payments. |

| I had an account that was up to 56 feedbacks, raised to 100/5000, then lowered for low dsr, left the acct alone for awhile and after listed another item after 6 months, they held my money. |
