Ebay and Paypal still sharing information! I smell a lawsuit

Just a heads up , even if Paypal and Ebay are 2 separate companies they are still sharing information.

I made a brand new ebay account new ip number and card and email.

I made a new email and added to my old legit paypal

Created the Ebay account on another ip/computer, I did add the email in the auction listing

It was going ok for 2 days but I got the restricted message today.

Called Ebay and I got some info out the worker. He said my Paypal email is associate with another bad account, which was not making sense but I knew he meant to say the Email is tied to a Paypal account that recently had a bad Ebay account tied to it

I got some more info out him. The rep slipped up and called me by the my name which is on my Paypal

I then said you are 2 separate companies, why are you sharing information between the both of you. The rep says well you linked your account. I tell him I never linked my Paypal to Ebay, I simply added it to my auction so buyers can pay to it and that is not linking.

I then continue to ask him why are you people sharing my info. That is like sears and Walmart sharing my personal information

I can smell a lawsuit coming soon since they are still sharing information between Ebay and paypal. They are still acting as one company

Just treat them as ONE and you cannot go wrong.

Why would you think they dont share? Technically ebay still owns PayPal just as a different company PLUS they have a fiver year agreement to operate the same way they have been.

Nothing has changed as far as we are concerned. On shares and fiances have changed.

Welcome newbie to the forum. Please do a little more reading the Stealth Guide and the forum. You violated the basic premise of stealth and were linked. Hope it didn't hurt too much. Best of luck to you.

This needs to be a sticky somewhere.

They separated in a legal way, technically nothing has changed. They needed to be separate to be a public company, to spread their businesses etc. Links between EB and PP never changed, as they just can't just remove them after 10+ yrs of hard work, it is just not possible to work for them normally without strong interconnections.
