how do you keep a different account on pc for each ebay account?
 

i've been wondering this for years. about 2 years ago i tried doing what i though i was told and it never worked.

what i tried and believe i have read is that creating a seperate user account on my desktop should allow me to have a seperate ip addess. i tried this method and it doesnt work.

any suggestions?

User account and your PC has nothing to do with IP.

IP comes from your method of internet service.

Just google how to change my IP address there is a host of websites with instructions, creating a new profile doesnt however

There are 2 basic things you need to do to operate stealth properly
1) set up a new windows user account. this keeps cookies and flash cookies separated from your other user account. ebay and paypal use cookies and flash cookies to identify accounts. this will cause links and if you get a suspension, then the linked accounts will fall as well
2) you need a way of getting a fresh IP address(es). this is a soft link. but if you continuously share an IP address with another account, then it is a good enough link, nonetheless. there are many ways to get a fresh IP address: router swap (netgear-walmart $30), hotspots & mifis (my personal favorite, and some VPN. 123 sells VPN service. i hear only good about it, and i have never heard anything bad about 123's service.

OP, i do not know if you have bought the stealth guide or not, but any one else reading this. BUY THE STEALTH GUIDE. It is inexpensive and well worth the price for the material and the subscription to the forum. Anyone trying to get back on ebay, this is the golden ticket!

That's incorrect. You can create as many user accounts as you like on your device (and switch between them) but your IP address will stay the same because it's not depended on your user accounts. You get your IP address from your internet service provider.. etc. :)

some people also use phone tethering with their cellphone provider. only method i use

You would either need portable internet browser(Less safe) or simple create different users on your system but make sure you handle the IP changing nicely as it can link the accounts.
You can get 2 different dongles and label them as the passwords(e.g. Dongle 1 and Dongle 2) you have set on your windows accounts, this will remind you to always stick the correct dongle in your PC before actually logging into your computer.
