Should I get a bank account linked to my ebay?

Is it mandatory for NON-US ebay accounts to get a bank account linked to ebay for verification?
Say, I am opening a Chinese ebay account with Chinese identity.

True you can link a bank to eBay, account has to allow the direct debit mandate though

Hi,
It is not necessary as long as you have a verified paypal account, you could add a credit card to your eBay to make eBay fee payments easier.
