Using your real credentials with an ebay account?
 

Hi guys,

Is it advisable or not advisable to create a "REAL" ebay account ?

Ive been suspended over a year ago and since then have not had an ebay account.

Since then ive moved house, have a new phone number, new internet connection etc..etc...

The only details that are the same would be my name and date of birth.

If you were me would you create a real account with my real details for ebay and paypal and use it for "NORMAL" ebay trading since i wont be listing vero or trademark infrigement items it will be used as a normal ebay account.

I know that i run a small risk because i would be using the same first name and last name and date of birth, just wondering if that is enough to get you banned or if its not enough to suspend you due it be coindiciental to have the same first and last name and date of birth as someone else ?

I could also take the route of signing up and just using the same name but not using the same date of birth that would take care of that so i guess the question would be using the same First and Last name of a suspended previous account is enough to get suspended (everything else will be followed to a T via the ebay stealth guide)

Would you ever use your real details for an ebay account, or just go "⊗⊗⊗⊗" all the way ?

It should work. My wife signed up for a new account (under her new name) after we got married. New address and phone too. We sold some stuff on it. It's the only account we have with our real address. How common is your name? If you Google it are there at least a few of you ?

actually there is no one with the same name just the same last name, hmmm. Maybe to be on the safe side use a different name but real address details. Or if possible a different spelling of my first name or slightly misspelled last name. Anyone tried this ?

its recommended to alter the name a little bit. You should be good, until paypal asks you to verify ssn...
