Ebay Suspends Me But Keeps Others??
 

I'm sure this happens a lot, but I still gotta ask. I was selling vape related items for about a year making great money, then BAM they suspending my account for a year!! I go back on there to see if others are selling the same exact brand, and there it is... a ****load of people selling the same brand!! How are they getting away with it???? Frustrating as hell!

Welcome to the real world.

eBay doesn't make sense. You were reported, or you violated some policy, or some activity you did was picked up by a bot, or a rep noticed your stuff during an account review....

Doesn't matter "why". It's done. Get over it.

Their time will come. If you violate eBays terms long enough, you will be busted. Might take months, or even a couple years, but in a long enough time-frame, eventually they will be caught. Nothing you, nor I, nor Aspkin can do to change it. Accept it, make more stealth accounts, and move on with your life and business.

there will always be other sellers being able to sell the same products you got suspended for. It's a very rough marketplace out there. Sellers can report other sellers for less competition

Everyone eventually gets busted, your not the first to come to the forum and tell us they got suspended for selling Vapes and similar items....so you see, your not the 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd to have this issue. When your done getting it out of your system you can get to making stealths.

They will probably go down soon too. eBay doesn't remove all users at once, which is why it's always a good idea to have more than one account.

The thing is, if your doing something they prohibit or don't like your already doomed from the start.

Just because they're active now doesn't mean they will forever. You must of done something to trigger some type of review and you obviously failed whatever review they did. Best to stick to items eBay accepts weather its on paper or not.

Its just like selling 5 iphones in one day. Sure some sellers on eBay MIGHT but doesn't mean they will forever OR that YOU can.

I guess all I want to know is if they have some special technique or something. One of the sellers had all of their listing set to private. So if you check out their feedback you don't see what their customers bought.

Believe me I am already stealth, but I really really miss the money I made in vape ;)

1. Curse and complain about how unfair eBay is. :violin:

3. Proceed to tell another member to "jump into a lake". :rolleyes:

You have a promising future here. I'm sure that after reviewing your prior posts, Executive members will jump at the chance to assist you, seeing as you are so friendly and thankful for the advice and input others provide you! :lol:

Excuse me? I gave you solid advice, and every other member who commented here repeated what I said in some form or another. Everyone has told you to "get over it" in some form or fashion. There's nothing you nor we can do. You violated the policy and you got caught. Your complaints are as valid as the thief who is moaning that the police busted him while his partner got away. Why did you get caught? Because you did. Eventually everyone get's caught, if they do it long enough.

I told you: Make more accounts and move on. That's the best advice you'll get from anyone anywhere, because it's the only sensible thing to do.

If that makes you butt-hurt, I suggest you grow a thicker skin, because no one here is going to baby you.

Here is the deal. eBay is not consistent with who they ban. For whatever reason, they hit some sellers of certain items and not others. That is just the way it is.

Trying to argue with them is pointless. Stealth is the answer.

Make a few stealth accounts, follow the stealth rules and sell your vape stuff. The accounts WILL go down eventually, but you can get some good sales. You said it yourself, you were selling this stuff for a year and making money. If you create another account and do the same thing, it may live for 3 weeks, or maybe 3 years. Dwelling on the lost account will only cause you frustration.

Is it fair? Of course not. But it happens. It HAS happened to me and I know it sucks. Your income comes to a halt and others are still happily selling hundreds of items a week. It is only natural to be angry. Now go take that anger, make some accounts and get back in the game!

I dont get in why is the OP whining about something in his past about making all of this good money and blah blah blah in vape, blah blah blah.....


You dont see some of the older members on here whine about losing accounts, they get back into the game even stronger. I lost tons of accounts over Christmas, I kinda got sad for a few days, took some time and drove around the US, got back 8 week later stronger and more determined than ever.

Even after driving for 8 weeks around the US, I am on schedule to make about 10-18% more than last year.

And like someone said, grow a thicker skin when you are dealing with ebay/paypal.

I have a friend who used to sell vapes and vapes items on ebay. He makes his own vape juice flavors. He told me that he would always have issues with ebay and take downs. He finally opened his own vape store and does much better without ebay.

Excellent advice. A niche as popular as Vapes would do well with it's own website, I would imagine. BTW Aspkin has a product about setting up your own website, Million Dollar Boss or something like that. PM him, I'm sure he'll give you the details.

My products are all generalist, unfortunately, so I won't be getting off the eBay/Amazon train anytime soon....

same thing happened to me other sellers are selling same item for years and i dont even last a month .
im thinking the other sellers may have provided " legit " supplier invoices and ebay thinks theyre legitimate sellers because they have seen dodgy invoices .

The dude sells stuff ebay hates. EXPECT to loose accounts. Plan to loose accounts or stop selling the crap. It is that easy. There is no other help.

How about this for help, I will open 100 accounts this week, put a system and staff in place and sell your stuff and give you half the profits AFTER funds clear? Is that helpful?
I highly doubt it.

So the ONLY other solutions are to sell something else or plan for limitations and spread sales.

I done well as vape affiliate. Only problem they 6 months late paying. This is why I refused use affiliate sites for 15 years. Own sites and own products is the way to go. Than have complete control.
