Poll: Reasons for not responding to emails

I don't know about anyone else, but I get tired of emailing sellers to ask a simple question before buying (mainly to get their reaction time and see their customer service skills) and then never receive a reply. The fear of god that ebay puts into sellers that the person asking the question might be a trust and safety or vero agent doesn't help matters I'm sure. But when it's as simple as "does this work" or "do you combine shipping" or something like that and it's NOT mentioned in the auction, I find it hard to defend not replying. These people miss out on tons of purchases and bids from me because of this as I often just don't bid if questions aren't answered when given plenty of time to do so.

Do you reply to questions and has it ever hurt you? Why do you not reply? Do you buy from people who don't reply? This is a poll but I'm not going to limit it to choices. Feel free to spill your guts all you want, go crazy, vent, or just answer.

Well did you answer? I've found more times than not that sellers that don't bother to reply are usually not going to give the best customer service. Not always, but the few times I have gone ahead and bid anyway, I've regretted it to some degree or another. So I've just stopped.

I usually always reply - unless it's a obvious answer. And I usually get more buyers because of it.

What type of questions do you ignore? And do you tend to ignore those who don't leave a direct email more than those who do? To put it another way, do you respond more through My Messages than regular email, and do you think it's more safe or less safe?
