Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

Guys do I call PayPal to get this done? I tried transferring to bank today is the 180th day and it says your account is limited. I can't do anything. It says request a check, but I rather have it transferred. I'm afraid to call and talk to them. I just want my money out of there, should I call or what? its $775.00

Thank you. I need an answer fast. I am at my school in the library, using their public IP and public computer/host.

Thanks.

...ps Another issue I think might arise is: it's under my real name the PayPal account that is but its a derivative of my name and the Bank account/ paypal-prepaid/Bancorp is under another derivative of my name...

I don't think that'll be an issue I have both my ssn on both the paypal and the paypal prepaid card. thanks for your help guys please I hope I can can get an answer soon, have a blessed day...

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

Did you receive the 'update on the status of your funds' email from paypal?

if not you may need to wait a few more days.. paypal seem to make up there own rules.

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

What ever you decide, dont call unless you really have to.. because if you get the wrong agent ont he phone, you may be requested for additional ID before they will release the funds to you and usually that never passes.

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

so what do I do??? no I haven't received the email saying "update on the status of your funds" Is it suppose to arrive? I didn't know about this. It makes sense though... Please anyone else have any experience with this? Please..?

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

If you didn't get the email saying your funds are eligible for withdrawal I would email them. I had the same issue i called them they asked me to upload ID and the person on the phone accused me of being under 18 for some reason. I emailed them and then i got the email that i can withdraw, and got my money out

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

what email address do I use, do you know the email address?

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

If you click on contact us at the bottom of the paypal page, there is a call us button or a message centre button.

Use the mmessage centre button,
but they will email you a automated email, which you will need to reply to with the same message you put in the message centre, or they will not respond to you.

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

ok so what should I put in the email body to not sound suspicious or whatever. what should the email go like:

"hey this is (so&so). The 180 days are up. I would like to transfer my money to my bank account and I won't allow me to do so through the website can you please assist me?"

access0ner 09-10-2015 07:43 PM

Anyone please, anyone? I'm here waiting.... it says to be specific.

jjjjj 09-10-2015 07:48 PM

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

I think that should be okay.

Remember what Bunneh said
"but they will email you a automated email, which you will need to reply to with the same message you put in the message centre, or they will not respond to you"

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

All I've ever received from them was this:

Dear (so&so),

Your PayPal account has been limited because some of your buyers have reported they never received their merchandise or services, or there was a problem with what they received. As your payment processor, we need to better understand the situation.

What does this mean?

This account limitation will affect your ability to:

•send money
•withdraw money

Additionally, you cannot:

•remove any bank accounts
•remove credit cards
•close your account

What to do next

Please log in to your PayPal account and visit the Resolution Center before April 29, 2015 to provide the requested information. If we don't receive this information before April 29, 2015 or we notice additional significant changes in your account activity, your account access may be further limited.

Once we receive and review your documentation, we will email you regarding the status of your account.

Log in to PayPal

In the meantime, please make sure your PayPal balance can cover any pending refunds.

If you need to process a refund for your buyer, here's how:
1.Log in to your PayPal account.
2.Click History near the top of the page.
3.Find the payment you want to refund.
4.Click Details.
5.Click Issue Refund.
6.Enter the refund amount.
7.Click Continue.
8.Confirm the refund details and click Issue Refund.

We appreciate your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

PayPal

cot dmt I ****ing hate PayPal. I need this money to pay my merchant processor I will have to start using them instead of paypal. My niche is oriented around the sale so people won't be turned off by me not accepting PayPal. That would be the best option with an html revised description tha tlinks to my website... I ****ING HATE PAYPAL with a cot damn passion

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

im so scared guys i really need this money for more than one thing, my business really depends on it..

I gotta pay my corporation renewal fee which I was suppose to pay before April 30th... now its the $140.00 fee plus a $400.00 late fee attached. if I don't pay by September 18th it jumps to $1000 late fee!

I got $180.00 in merchant fees that I haven't paid either. Which is in collections which I don't know if my merchant will re-open my merchant account, Very Frustrating.

It's all the exact amount I need to get this sorted out... Jeez Louise.. ugh...

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

this is what i do first I look at the orginal email that states my paypal was limited and look at the time stamp I wait 180 days on the 180th day I wait til the time passes and it releases almost to the second then I just transfer to my bank.... if you do not have a legitimate bank attached then you have to attach one if you do not have the phone active that the account was created on then it may be difficult to add but in my experience if you add an account from one of the major banks that paypal lists then alot of times it will not ask me to verify to add that bank

When you sent the message to them on the message centre. Did you reply to the automated reply you got in your EMAIL inbox to? Or they will not reply.

No one's a noob joeschooze. they were all very helpful with what they had to say, don't stick your nose where it doesn't belong. if you have nothing insightful to say, then just stay out.

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

Hello (so&so),

Your PayPal funds are now eligible for withdrawal.

You may transfer the funds directly to your bank account via online bank transfer or you may request a check from PayPal. Please let us know how you would like to receive the funds by logging in to your account.
As a reminder, access to your account will remain limited until you perform the steps required to lift the limitation.

While access to your account is limited, you may:
* place logos into your auction listings or on your website
* update your account information
* withdraw funds from your account

You may not:
* send or request money
* receive payments
* add funds to your account
* close your account

Thank you for using PayPal.

Sincerely,
The PayPal Team

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

My last question is: Let's say my name is Benjamin Too-Pub

My PayPal is under Ben Pub.

My Bank which is PayPal/Prepaid/Bancorp is under Benjamin Too.

I had linked my PayPal Prepaid Card to my PayPal and was able to do Instant Transfers to PayPal Prepaid card (which obviously I can't do now because my account is limited).

My SSN is on both PayPal and the Bank..

Because of the name derivative, will the bank not accept the PayPal withdrawal?

I had never actually withdrawn to the bank because I was able to do PayPal Instant Transfers. This is the reason why I am up in the air with it.

Please let me know ASAP. I am here in front of the computer at school. In the mean time I will step away for the time being and make a call to PayPal Prepaid to make sure from the source.

Thanks again guys..

Bunneh 09-11-2015 02:43 PM

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

Once should be fine to withdraw to.

If you call the card issuer they will say the names HAVE to match when its not always true.

access0ner 09-11-2015 02:56 PM

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

Bunneh you are completely correct. I just called and they told me that the names have to match but your telling me they don't and that one time should be fine to withdraw too.

What if, at one point in time, I didn't have enough funds to cover the eBay fee's so PayPal dipped into my bank account and there wasn't enough money there to cover it. Would that be a problem in withdrawing if THAT happened?

No, right?

Bunneh 09-11-2015 02:59 PM

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

Not 100% sure about usa banks. But usually it only is a problem if someone on either end checks.

If your paypal is limited. Then ebay will not be able to take money from your bank as your paypal is locked from doing anything.

Bunneh 09-11-2015 03:00 PM

Re: Advice on transfering funds after 180 days

If your paypal to paypal failed in the past to take ebay fees then no it wont effect your withdrawal.
