So i went to list my first two items on ebay but then they restricted my account they said i have to contact them to verify my account.

MC011 right? Usually happens when you mess up your IPs, like taking IP from another country.

This actually sounds like the random suspensions that occur when you list your first item. These are relatively easy to take care of. You just call in and answer some questions, like where did you buy the item, how do you plan to ship it, etc. You need to call in from the number that is registered on the account. If you don't have access to it, then use a spoofing service to fool their caller id.

There are no guarantees, but most of the time, this works.

it doesnt say it jus say ebay account restriction in the email and they said once i verify my account ill be able to start selling right away

You should try to get it to work but most likely you have done something wrong that is classifying your account as high risk. I would evaluate your methods to see what you could have done wrong. The most common mistake for me was not giving the account enough time to age.

That appears to be random new user notice. Just call and they may ask you what you sell and where you get it from. You may just say you are moving and have all your stuff to sell so you made ebay account to do so.

Also would use a dongle for ip's. and try to call in with the number used on account creation. Have all stealth info ready and front of you when call

Let me clear this up.

The OP did nothing wrong, this is a RANDOM NOTICE. These happen right after you list your first item on a new account. It used to go out as an MC999 notice, but much of the time, there are no longer notice numbers on eBay's emails.

Had there been something wrong with how he created the account, the IP address, phone number, etc. then the notice would NOT have asked him to call in. The notice would have simply stated:

Your eBay account has been suspended because recent account activity has raised security concerns. We’ve taken this precaution to protect our members while we make sure that the activity doesn’t cause harm–even unintentionally–to the eBay community.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use eBay in any way. This includes using another existing account or registering a new account.

Any outstanding fees will be due immediately, and any amounts that you haven’t previously disputed will be charged to the billing method currently on file.

We appreciate your understanding.

Basically they just told me to call them up and verify some information thats it.

Probably the item was a 'high risk' item. Anything new, brand names or electronics triggered this.

So to solve this problem simply use some voip call application and call to eBay to answer some question from eBay?

Its not random, you did something - simple.

From personal experiences,
Jeff is not correct and its nothing to do with high categories etc.

Its technical stuff, I dont get paid enough to do a wright up about it all.

Not worth calling them or sending id or verifying anything because if you do you will still be banned and will have wasted more of your time.

Move onto the next one :)

I have gotten a 0 selling limit account to 50 with a 5 minute phone call.

It obviously has something to do with the number used talkatone... Its the same thing with Google voice get 0 limit every time

the phone you use to call them means nothing... it you had that app registered as a phone tho on the acct well yes then theres your answer :croc:

Did you use the talkatone number to register and verify your eBay account? Or did you jut use it to call eBay?

If you used it to register your eBay account that's your issue then..

Also make sure you're also using a real address. Don't use a made up address it has to be real.. And don't use a random stores address either

i used it just to call them to verify my account info and i used an actual address from google maps

His account probably didnt have a matching name to the address. They checked public records and the second he turned his account into a seller account, they limited it Happens A LOT with new accounts. Thats why I dont make anymore.

He probably wasnt able to answer the questions correctly. Plain and simple.

He did not match the proper name to the address. You cant just use any name to an address that does not match public records.

Yep.. he's an idiot you CAN do It with any name and any real address don't know why he's saying you can't. And he says I'm the one posting nonsense.. if op used talkatone register his account and that's why he got the 0 limit.
